For a place better known for their drinks and happy hour, they have amazing lunch options too. When we came we were seated immediately, and the wait for food was really quick. We started with the brussel sprouts, which are definitely a must try, and then I ordered the pork belly sandwich, which was so tender and delicious. I would definitely come here again, next time for some dinner.

This place is super cute. Dog friendly. Very flavorful food. Great service. I took a star off because my food was Luke warm... closer to cold but it tasted good. They have a great Bloody Mary bar. It comes with a tiny beer. Coffee was piping hot. I didn’t drink it but I could see the heat coming off it and my little cousin burnt his lips. Not the restaurants fault... lol

This place is just awesome! From the art on the walls to the friendly staff, they have a great vision and set-up. The food is awesome and unique. I can't say anywhere that twists traditional Mexican dishes like they do, great for a long brunch with friends.

I can’t fathom how delicious the pork jowl was; everything in the bowl was nuanced, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It might be the single best dish I’ve had. Our waitress was very helpful and answered our somewhat extensive questions about the menu. My wife had the dumplings and they were also great. The sleeper bit of the meal was the cornbread...I’m not sure what kind of black magic they’re conjuring in the kitchen, but it works. Go here, you won’t regret it.

I'm always looking to try new brunch places and saw that they have a couple unique menu items, so I figured why not come here! Originally they said over the phone it would be a 30 minute wait, but when I came I was instantly seated, so that was nice! The place was pretty packed which is a good sign that people like this place. I ordered my food and it came out pretty fast. I got the Grit Waffle and Brussels Sprouts. The waffle was good and came with peanut butter and a banana brulee - unique combo that made it delicious. The Brussels were amazing as well. They came with a couple sauces: peanut butter, sambal, and lemon. Overall, I had a good experience and left satisfied.

Very nice place, tasty food. I had a couple of glasses of house red a California Cabernet, simple but good. We also tried ceviche and queso fundido, both dishes very tasty. They have draft craft beer but we didn’t tried. Staff very friendly and efficient.

After being foiled by lack of reservation at another restaurant, gf and I took a shot. Glad we did! Food was great quality, nuanced flavors, and beautifully presented. Service was prompt and attentive, but not intrusive. Atmosphere was understated and whimsical. Try the shrimp and grits.

This place is what Austin, TX is a all about! The Hightower is a small, locally owned business where the owner is the chef and the food is good enough to be broadcast on Recipe.TV. Located in downtown, this place offers a monthly brunch menu, fabulous drinks, and a bloody Mary bar. By the way, the beef tostada tartare was to die for! Also, kudos to the bartender who was incredibly efficient, friendly, and professional. Bonus points!
