Just had a great happy hour at one of my new favorite spots. Drinks were great, food was even better! They do everything right and even HH portions are big. Can’t wait to visit again soon. Special thanks to my man and cook Adam for not letting me forget i gotta check this spot out! Ceviche was fresh and perfectly balanced, fundido was amazing with terrific consistency, tartare was crazy flavorful and unique from the typical prep, the redfish was off the wall with flavor and hush puppies were the best I ever had...moist and flavorful and not the typical super heavy dried out taste. S’mores pie was next level. One of the best desserts I’ve had in Austin or anywhere. Staff is great, cant say enough on this spot!

Fantastic food. The Brussel sprouts are my favorite, and I've never liked them before. I'm convinced there is some sort of magical spell going on there. I highly recommend them. The queso is great also. I've tried almost everything on the dinner menu. Love it all.

This place is super cute. Dog friendly. Very flavorful food. Great service. I took a star off because my food was Luke warm... closer to cold but it tasted good. They have a great Bloody Mary bar. It comes with a tiny beer. Coffee was piping hot. I didn’t drink it but I could see the heat coming off it and my little cousin burnt his lips. Not the restaurants fault... lol

I'm always looking to try new brunch places and saw that they have a couple unique menu items, so I figured why not come here! Originally they said over the phone it would be a 30 minute wait, but when I came I was instantly seated, so that was nice! The place was pretty packed which is a good sign that people like this place. I ordered my food and it came out pretty fast. I got the Grit Waffle and Brussels Sprouts. The waffle was good and came with peanut butter and a banana brulee - unique combo that made it delicious. The Brussels were amazing as well. They came with a couple sauces: peanut butter, sambal, and lemon. Overall, I had a good experience and left satisfied.

Very nice place, tasty food. I had a couple of glasses of house red a California Cabernet, simple but good. We also tried ceviche and queso fundido, both dishes very tasty. They have draft craft beer but we didn’t tried. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Great happy hour value. We went just a bit after 5pm and everything was delicious. I had the O.G cocktail (but with bourbon YUM), fundido, brussels sprouts, steak tartar tostada, and the burger. I would go back for the cocktail, steak tartar tostada, and brussels sprouts. We sat at the bar for quick service, and got easy parking. The restaurant was a bit hot, but everything else was awesome.

I can’t fathom how delicious the pork jowl was; everything in the bowl was nuanced, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It might be the single best dish I’ve had. Our waitress was very helpful and answered our somewhat extensive questions about the menu. My wife had the dumplings and they were also great. The sleeper bit of the meal was the cornbread...I’m not sure what kind of black magic they’re conjuring in the kitchen, but it works. Go here, you won’t regret it.

This place is what Austin, TX is a all about! The Hightower is a small, locally owned business where the owner is the chef and the food is good enough to be broadcast on Recipe.TV. Located in downtown, this place offers a monthly brunch menu, fabulous drinks, and a bloody Mary bar. By the way, the beef tostada tartare was to die for! Also, kudos to the bartender who was incredibly efficient, friendly, and professional. Bonus points!

We had an exceptionally tasty date night here. Plates are smallish and great for sharing between two people. The wife and I shared cabbage, gnocci, zucchini, and chicken mole plates. All were great. Service was friendly and attentive, and the venue was interesting with bird-themed paintings.

I am always surprised by how easy it is to get a table here. There are places around time that have nowhere near as good small plates and yet are packed. The happy hour here is divine. Menu highlights for me are: Brussel sprouts, burger, and the sweet potatoes. I also love the OMD cocktail (gin, clementine, and campari.)

Friendly staff and solid all-around fare. Queso, sprouts, and ceviche were standouts, gnocchi and cabbage were perfectly fine. Cocktail opens are decent as well.
