Review Dai Due Butcher Shop & Supper Club - Austin

Understated snout to tail butcher based restaurant. Quality is the key ingredient throughout: top quality ingredients, execution, ambiance, and service. The vibe is upscale edgy hunting lodge. I had the antelope lettuce wraps. They were absolutely perfect. The texture. The flavor. The balance of fat to spice. Great use of leftover off cuts of both meat and vegetables. It took what could have been garbage and made it one of the most flavorful, texture filled, and filling lunches I have had in a long time. I adored the fresh house made grapefruit spritzer (I had them hold the simple syrup) which was a great accompaniment to my meal. I enjoyed the French press tea, but would have thought with a French press I would get more than one cup of tea. The house cured bacon šŸ„“ was a soft chew texture - I personally like my bacon a little crisper - but the flavor was excellent. I will come back again and again. Great spot for the meat lover in your life. Awesome date spot or great for a broā€™s brunch. (I saw a few different tables occupied by groups of male friends and/or coworkers.)

Truly an amazing place to eat if youā€™re a meat lover. Everything about Dai Due is unique - the first half of the restaurant is a store where rubs, meats, pickled veggies, frozen goods, and swag items are sold; the second half is the actual restaurant and the theming is rustic but charming, sort of like walking into a colonial outpost. The menu items are VERY unique and adventurous and almost all are based around protein (antelope, boar, sheep, etc). I got a breakfast platter and the sausage made from pork and antelope was my favorite, and my friend got the award winning wagyu cheeseburger and she loved it. The menu is different for brunch and dinner and some day soon I hope to come back to try out their dinner menu!

After sorting though a lot of brunch recommendations around Austin, chose this place to go while friends were in town for a representation of Austin food. We were NOT disappointed and didnā€™t have one bad bite during the brunch! The breakfast pastries were a big hit, normally something we wouldnā€™t order, but they were conveniently placed in sight of our travelā€¦you gotta do what you gotta do. My friend said that the cherry donut was probably the best she has ever had and the pumpkin kolache was just perfect as well. We shared 4 entries (see pics)and would honestly order it all again. Canā€™t wait to be back!

I honestly donā€™t know why itā€™s taken us so long to try out Dai Due. We came on the Saturday post thanksgiving with a last minute reservation I made an hour before for 3 indoors. If it was a little warmer, I would have loved to sit outside because it looked super cute. Between the 3 of us we got a coffee cake to start, a burger with a side of beef fat fries, the Dai Due breakfast and the Cemita Ahogada. Everything was delicious! Our server Jordan was wonderful. I donā€™t have a single bad thing to say. Maybe parking wouldā€™ve been harder if we hadnā€™t gone on a slower weekend šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø Anyways this is now one of my favorite restaurants in the city. So good!

Excellent restaurant. Charming inside dining or lovely and shady dog-friendly patio dining. Many of the meats are wild game which is not my thing, but the burgers have won some awards and are Wagyu beef so plenty of other brunch options to please. Our server, Andre, was excellent, attentive and helpful. In spite of it being a harrowing hot Texas summer, the shade of grapevines overhead cooled the patio for our brunch. They even brought dog bowls of water for the dogs. Charcuterie board was great but it really needed some cheese to round it out in my option. Chicken hearts on skewers were enjoyed by our tablemate who is familiar and can rarely find them. Great sized side salad that was large and flavorful. The burgers and fries were the star of the show. I actually thought them might be more tender and perhaps could have been cooked less but honestly the taste was SO good that it didn't matter. Great flavor components. Very good brunch cocktails as well.

Came here for breakfast. Ordered the Central Texas Breakfast. Grits were outstanding. Very creamy. Was not so keen on the boar boudin. It was made as a patty and I didn't care for the texture. Was hoping it was more the link type of sausage. The rest of my food was great. Potatoes weren't very warm but still crunchy and tasty. Mimosas are made with fresh squeezed OJ and tasted great. A good place for breakfast in Austin!

If you are visiting Austin, do not miss this spot. I came for brunch and had the apple sourdough pancake with wild boar sausage and it was one of the best meals Iā€™ve ever eaten. Just delicious. And a wonderful atmosphere too. Iā€™ll be back!

We went to Dai Due for lunch and drinks. The burger and lettuce wraps were both excellent and the service was outstanding. This is a great place for brunch or dinner with friendly staff and an interesting decor.

If I could give 10*, I would! We just love everything about this place, the food is second to none, the atmosphere is chill and inviting and the service - especially from Julie, is on point! This is about our fifth time to visit. We love to sit at the bar and watch the artists at work in the kitchen and behind the bar. Even though we generally get the same items cause they taste sooooo good, the menu is always updating, sometimes ever so slightly based on ingredients in season or just to add a little more uniqueness. Our go tos are the cheese board (with a side of meat, generally nilgai if available), the pork chop (you have to try it to understand!!) and the burgers (they are not your regular burger!). Anything on the dessert menu is generally awesome too! Oh and do start your culinary extravaganza with one of the fresh cocktails, you wonā€™t be disappointed! šŸ˜‹ šŸ¤¤

A lot of their meat dishes have mint incorporated which I liked! The chai ice cream is super strong, as is the basil in the lemon basil sorbet (4 of us couldnā€™t finish it). Memorable flavors, but too strong imo, the chai mixed with a scoop of Vanilla would be perfect, as would a much smaller portion of sorbet. We had the quail, steak, and fish. Steak was good, but wasnā€™t worth 8 dollars a bite. Quail presentation was immaculate and tasted good. Fish was flakey / not fishy at all. I recommend this place but had too high of expectations going in. Eddie Vā€™s, Perryā€™s, and Steiner offer superior steak. Dai due is > for wild game! Get the fries and both sauces! Super unique flavors. Ambiance and server were great.

Had our graduation dinner here for my daughter. I couldnā€™t have asked for better service and food here! The food was simply delicious. It was served impeccably. The staff was so on target with everything! I highly recommend this to anyone. The best food I have ever had!

Stopped in for dinner with my wife on Tuesday and we were both thoroughly impressed by the service and food! We shared the wild boar burger with side of collard greens, and had pecan torte and sopapillas for dessert. Tracy was a kind, attentive server! Great ambiance, incredible food, and thoughtful service. Will recommend to friends and family! ļæ½

Amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The ambiance is fantastic. Most dishes are out of this world. The flavor profiles and the pairing they have are like nothing Iā€™ve ever had. Wonderful. I highly recommend anyone try it.

Absolutely one of our favorite restaurants in-town. We've been 10+ times since they opened and have always walked away itching to get back. The service is second to none, dishes prepared and seasoned to perfection, and every ingredient (from the beer/wine to the meat/produce) is locally sourced. Don't skip their weekend brunch either!

As always, this is a great place to eat and relax!! The food is so very good and to some is pricy BUT the quality and quantity is well worth the drive and the $$$ Try it--you will like it!

My favorite spot in all of Austin. Iā€™ve been to almost all of Matthew Odomā€™s Top 25 for Austin and more. The quality, style, price, simple atmosphere and consistent menu changes reflecting true seasonality, check the boxes. This place is #1 for me.

This place exceeded my expectations! Our server was so helpful and attentive!! I highly recommend this place.

Excellent selection and service. Popped in and picked up a wagyu ribeye, lb of beef jerky and lb of venison breakfast sausage. 5 stars.

What a GREAT PLACE! We were referred to them by the team at Odd Duck where we had dinner the night before. It's a butcher shop meets bakery meets cool dining spot with great wine and beer too. They were very accommodating with our special requests. And the wonderful smell when you walk in will make you so happy! If you live near and haven't been yet GO!

Great dining experience! We love coming here, great food, friendly staff and an ever changing menu featuring locally sourced foods.

Come to Austin just to go to this restaurant! You may never have meat this good, again! Seriously, it is worth the trip!

Took my wife and daughter to an early dinner. We decided in the Supper Club Fried Chicken. It was amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating with changing our reservations. The decor of the restaurant itself is nice. The open format makes you feel like you're eating in a family kitchen. The Fig Leaf Custard and the Summer Melon Sorbet were two of the best deserts we've ever had! Can't wait to return

One of the best dining experiences I've had in Austin. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was really authentic and not pretentious.

Absolutely fantastic. Service was top shelf, and everything we ate was perfect. We'll be recommending this to anyone coming to Austin.

Every bite contained a explosion of flavor! Seven people in our group and no one had a real complaint. All of us felt the same: great food, excellent service. Everything you may hear about the pork chop is true!
Samantha 'Stewart' Reid
We did the Supper Club menu and it was excellent. One of the best pork chips I've ever had. We also started with the two featured boards and both were great! We literally scraped the boards clean!
Theresa Voelkel
The food was very flavorful and well prepared. Service was great Can't wait to go back and try more of the great menu.

Love this place. Using local ingredients when in season in creative ways. We always find something new to try.
