Enoteca has remained one of the consistently best restaurants in a city overflowing with restaurants year after year. From their innovative menu, delicious food, excellent cocktails and that ever elusive intangible - service - Enoteca is my favorite, and I eat out often. Another plus worth mentioning is free parking in their dedicated lot behind the restaurant. That's a big deal, especially on South Congress. When I'm asked where to go for an excellent meal and dining experience, Enoteca is always the first restaurant I recommend. Easily 5-stars.
Fun and delicious Italian restaurant - right on Congress. South congress that is! My granddaughter and I had a fabulous lunch at the bar while my daughter presented for her evening wedding. We had the greatest time, delicious Italian food - the risotto balls for my granddaughter, grilled Italian red and yellow peppers, olive ilo and chees gnocchi’s for Mt granddaughter and the marina gnocchi’s for me (wow! What a huge serving!). I had two bins glasses of red wine and my granddaughter had a macaroon. Throughout or lunch the staff were fabulous. Highly recommended!
Spagetti carbonara was incredible, and it was one of the best I ever tasted.
The vibe, the food, the service - all great. Carbonara is spectacular. This is a lovely spot to stop for a glass of wine and food while on busy SoCo
Great little local Italian place! The meal was delicious, we paired it up with an Italian wine and ended the night with a mascarpone cheesecake and espresso. Definitely recommend it! Will come back!
This place is quaint and very good! My husband had the Rigatoni with pork meatballs (delicious) and I had the Tagliatelle with Mushrooms (Funghi). I ate it all! I would recommend anyone to go here! The price is not bad for for gourmet Italian!
Great ambiance, the place has an European feel. The food is made with local ingredients and the flavors are exquisite! For the very few Italian places in Austin, I would definitely consider this one as a go-to when having this type of craving.
Bottle of wine , lobster pasta and formaggio pizza - "Assolutamente bellissimo" , Perfect place to sit outside. It's south congress what is not to love but even if you have to sit inside great place to visit. Classic Italian food , cozy indoor & outdoor vibe gives you an authentic European visit - Pick any pizza or pasta dish if you feel unsure. 🇮🇹
We came for desert and a espresso and got amazed! Tiramisu is of of the my favorites ever, great cheesecake and espresso and it should be everywhere. Will definitely come to dine or lunch.
Found thru Zomato, took a punt based on the reviews. Far from disappointed. My international travel companion and I started with the Brussels Sprouts soup and then shared the Leg of Lamb with white beans in a great sauce, shared the pork chop with broccolini and mash potato all washed down with a fine Campania wine. Shared a great Tiramisu and really good expresso coffee. The service was exceptional, friendly, not rushed but prompt. Easy to get to the by cab from downtown Austin within 10 mins - easy to get return cab. Very comfortable experience.
Very good Italian food! I always try a classic dish when going to a new Italian place. Marinara was a tad spicy for me, but I thought it was delicious! Pasta was very good and perfectly cooked! Greek salad had too much red onion for my liking but overall tasty!
Ordered take out. Everything was delicious. Cannoli filled at order. Courteous and efficient staff. Small dining area. Parking in back of restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
ATMOSPHERE/SERVICE: 10/10
This restaurant has an intimate atmosphere for dinner. It’s a great spot to go for a romantic dinner, or a beautiful night out dressed up with your friends/family or even just a solo splurge date for yourself!
It has a great low light ambience in music and the decor has a chic, opulent vibe.
The staff were amazing! Each person was kind and friendly, and our waiter was very versed with the menu/explaining the menu as well as the background of the ingredients.
FOOD: 11/10
Y’all, I’m so glad I went with the group of people because then we were able to sample each other’s dishes!
Let me tell you something, the drinks and food were top notch! Delicious, fresh ingredients, with that Italian-authenticity and love in the cuisine itself aka HEAVEN for the pasta and bread lovers!🤌🏾
Check the photos for details (gist) of the dishes!
I WILL BE BACK.
Buon appetito!
My husband and I haven't come here in many years, since the last time we had visited Austin. It was just as delicious as we remembered! We had the suppli, caesar and misticanza salads, lasagne and risotto, and tiramisu. All was fabulous and I would honestly recommend anything on the menu, I'm convinced nothing here could taste bad! Service was also excellent particularly the water fillers are ON IT!
I walked by Vespaio earlier in the day when I was walking in South Congress and smelled something so amazing I had to go back for dinner. The whole time I was at Vespaio I felt so comfortable and so welcomed. I was dining there by myself but I can say the staff was so great from the hosts to the wait staff to my great great server, Jordan. Jordan recommended the most perfect dinner from the wine to the appetizers to dinner and even a dessert cocktail. The food was literally decadent and complimented each other so well. Please make the time to visit and try their amazing food! I was so blown away and definitely will be going back when I’m in Austin. Oh and try the burrata, carbonara, carajillo (kinda like an espresso martini but I like this version better) and all their wines are soo good. It’s been almost a week and I miss their burrata and the moscato I had lol. Please come here!!! The food very much reminded me of the food I’ve had in Italy.
I have been a customer of this restaurant for 11 years, and the quality and service are always the same: INCREDIBLY GOOD. The waiters and hosts are extremely friendly and pleasant.
I have had the pleasure of visiting Italy and I must say that Vespaio cooks authentic Italian food.
I will continue to recommend it as my favorite restaurant in Austin and one of the best Italian restaurants in the entire United States.
Very intimate. Reservations recommended. We were in town and walking by at around 4:53pm on a busy Saturday evening. Doors opened at 5pm. We figured we could wait and ask if they could squeeze us in. The line grew long within 10 minutes. At 5pm sharp, doors opened. They were welcoming and very friendly. They graciously accommodated our party of 2. Our server and assistants were courteous, knowledgeable and attentive. They quickly brought a bread basket and wine. We ordered the lasagna (on the spicier side, and very tasty) and shrimp scampi. Delicious, would absolutely eat here again. Bathrooms were a little dark for my taste, but clean from what I could see.
Wonderful meal!! Food was amazing with a nice atmosphere. You can’t go wrong with anything you order.
My wife and i dined for our anniversary. Made res two weeks in advance for Sun 5 pm. Lots of foot traffic outside and parking is limited so we parked in back. Place opens sharply at 5pm. We were greeted nicely and taken to our table and were greeted by Lisette? Wonderful waitress who knew the food, knew the wine and gave us all we asked for. I had Spaghetti Pomodoro and my wife had lasagna. Huge portions. We also tried a cheese pizza that was absolutely delicious. We did not do dessert because we were stuffed. The ambiance and food plus service was exceptional and outstanding. We paid almost one forty for everything. Well worth the price. I would dine there again in a heartbeat because my wife is hard to please. She came away very happy. 👌👌👌
First time in Austin TX and wanted authentic food. Saw this Italian restaurant and was very satisfied I chose. Atmosphere, service and especially the food were impeccable!!! The Ravioli was amazing. The meat filling was so smooth and seasoned very well. The sauce was a light seasoned broth, which was equally amazing.
Best Italian restaurant in town! Everything was perfect, from the wine to the food.
FANTASTIC!!! Upscale fine dining, perfect for an impressive date night or office dinner with your boss. They have a wide variety of wine. You can see in my pictures which red wine we got, it was yummy. The bread was fantastic. We got the Barratta for our appetizer which was so cheesy and good. We got the squash as our first main dish, SO GOOD!! Second dish was the fettuccine. Absolutely incredible. 10/10 will be back. Shout out to waitress Holly for being amazing!
