Atx Cocina

After having a bad Mexican experience (Tex Mex style) earlier in the day I was weary to go and grub Mexican again. Very glad I did though; the service was superb, the Masa apps were on point, and the Carne Asada was very flavorful and cooked to tempt. Their margaritas were also well crafted. Salúd.

Thoroughly impressed! Wanted to try this place for a while bc I could smell the delicious cooking whenever I was near the restaurant. Usually booked up for reservations and now I see why. The food was packed with flavor, unique dishes, care and thoughtfulness in the presentation and flavor combinations. Can’t remember waiters name (tall,beard) walked us through every aspect of the menu and was extremely knowledgeable. Every dish was delicious. Fabulous experience and HIGHLY recommend.

We were seated outside on the patio. It was comfortable and spacious. It was definitely a lot nicer outside. Inside dining is great too but I feel like it is a lot louder inside. Wait staff was all amazing and very knowledgeable in regards to the food and drinks they serve. Yes it is pricey but Oohhh so worth every bite !!!!

Love ATX Cocina! The interior design is to die for: there are various seating groupings and partial partitions breaking up the dining room into smaller, more intimate seating areas. The food is always consistent and absolutely delicious. The Kale Ceasar is the BEST Ceasar salad in Austin as is the Guacamole. The fish is always fresh and prepared just right. The cocktails are fantastic: never too sweet nor too sour. We always bring out of town guests to ATX Cocina. The service is always the best from bartenders to servers and of course the GM. We will definitely be coming back for more. As promised, we came back for more.

Absolutely amazing dining experience. Yes it's pricey (we had two apps, one entree, dessert, and 4 drinks for $180+tip), but you get what you pay for. The cocktails were complex and unique, nothing like what I could make at home. The food was similarly packed with flavor and the portion sizes were perfect. The service was great - our server was very nice and explained the menu and made recommendations. One member of my party was celebrating a birthday, and the server brought us champagne and a signed card. All this on top of the fact that it's 100% gluten free.

We had a nice dinner out on the patio and were pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere, nice drinks, our server Marc explained the menu very well and the young lady, floor manager was very pleasant and professional. We had Coco Loco's, Mesqual Tequilla, Nachos, Cesar salad and a 55 OZ Rib eye shared family style and enjoyed it very much. I strongly recommend ATX Cocina.

We love coming to this restaurant and dining with friends and family. The staff is always so welcoming and we have had tremendous luck as walk in customers. I had delayed coming due to difficulty with procuring an online reservation, but it's just as nice to sit at the bar or in the dining areas. So don't wait! Come visit this restaurant for work, personal or even just a quick snack and a Margarita. We love the chips and guac, the tuna appetizer and the quest… who doesn't love queso? Also there is not a lot of standing room so if you have a wait, grab a drink and you can hang on the front patio under the umbrellas and mature trees. As a part time resident downtown and local real estate advisor, I recommend this to all of our visitors especially because the entire menu is GLUTEN free~ but still so delicious.
