Outstanding experience. We had the tomato basil soup, local bread appetizer, spicy shrimp, and, one of the specials of the night, spinach stuffed creamy ravioli. All, very fantastic. A quick couple of things to note: first, the available space is smaller than most restaurants, so great for an intimate setting, professionally or romantic. Second, we got lucky with seating as a walk-in, seated at the bar. So highly recommend making reservations. I'm definitely coming back though. Excellent wine selection and staff.

Absolutely outstanding quality food at very reasonable prices can be found at this small, downtown eatery. Plating is beautiful and the flavors are bright and fresh. The limited menu allows the chefs to focus on doing a few dishes great, rather than many dishes well. Service is quick and friendly. Come early as the limited tables fill up fast with others in the know. Fettuccine con Funghi is a favorite, highly recommended.

Fantastic food. I had the meatballs, plenty of small meatballs in an amazing sauce with a slight heat. Felt the desert menu could have had better choice and would have loved to see garlic bread instead of just plain bread. Service was excellent. Interesting only appeared to be female staff front and behind the scenes, not sure why but clearly works for them. Great evening.

We were a party of 6. The atmosphere is great, the wine is very good, and the dinner delicious. I can't remember the Italian name of the dish I had, but it featured seafood, and was delicious. After an enjoyable dinner, we did some walking and sightseeing in the area, then wondered back to La Traviata for another glass of wine and dessert. Downtown Austin has many, many restaurants - we would not have returned if we hadn't enjoyed it. Food was cooked perfectly, and we couldn't have asked for a better server.

Very good Italian restaurant - one of the best in Austin. Great design in a small and comfortable setting. My wife is a conniseur of Carbonara and La Traviata has the best that she has ever had - even better than she had during a two week trip to Italy.

A good restaurant at the center. The soup was delicious, the main course was really good snd the most important was hot, like i like the pasta. The desserts was delicious. The service and the ambience was good.

I would say that the food is VERT tasty. I never had such a tasty carbonara (withour cream please). It is a familial restaurants so they out their hearts into their food. The server we had was rude, but ut was quickly forgotten after having our dishes. I will definetely hit back there whenever I am in Austin!!

Wow. Absolutely stellar food, beautifully presented. We had the spicy shrimp, which was penne pasta with sauteed shrimp and a spicy marinara, green onion and bread crumbs. Also had rigatoni with spicy lamb and meatballs with roasted tomato sauce, roasted bell peppers, basil, pine nuts and a touch of cream. Also had duck confit with fig sauce, crispy polenta and green beans. Although everything was delicious, the truly amazing thing was the polenta. Have never had polenta like this anywhere any time anyplace. We will definitely come back and I can imagine that everything is as good as what we had
