Quaint and adorable cafe. Excellent brunch! We had the guacamole, Eggs Florentine, Chilequile...we recommend all! The birds out on the patio are pretty entertaining!

Beet fries// $7

For starters I mean just look at it. All of this for 7 dollars? And it was delicious!??? Find me a better deal FIND IT I DARE YOU

But if you do, share and tell me where hehe

The beet fries alone were amazing. If you like sweet potato fries this will be fun to indulge in, and if you don't like sweet potato #fries but like food adventures give these a try. The beet is milder and encapsulated in what reminds me of a light #tempura batter. It's then given #basil, #goatcheese and sriracha mayo. All of their products #meat or #plantbased are all natural and from #local sources. It's easy to sit inside and get lost in your work or a book surrounded by shades of blue and tree paintings. Or you could just hop outside on their patio to enjoy some real #nature 👍🏻

I am a huge fan of affogato, but am dairy free, so finding a vegan affogato was fantastic! Cenote has great coffee in general. The shop also has a great atmosphere. The last time I visited I was brought into an improvisational drum circle that made my day! I'm from out of town and have tried half a dozen coffee shops in Austin, but I finally found my match.

We were staying just west of the interstate, so walked a few blocks east on Cesar Chavez for breakfast at Cenote, based solely on recommendations from travel apps. We passed an IHOP on the way, and a few blocks into this part of East Austin, wondered if it might have been the better choice. The neighborhood seemed pretty sketchy, and the panhandlers seemed to be congregrating for some kind of morning conference. In any event, Cenote itself appears to be an old residence, and is surrounded by a nice garden / dining area segregated from the surrounding neighborhood within a pretty high, prominent fence. Within the fence, Cenote offers a laid back vibe and pleasant outdoorsy atmosphere. The line out the door to place food orders assured us we had made the right choice, and were in good company. Reviews steered us toward a couple of the Tex-Mex offerings, and steered us well. The substantial breakfast burrito was accompanied by a smoky chipotle salsa on the side, and the chunks of avocado wrapped with it were fresh and creamy. It was maybe a little heavy on the potato and light on the bacon, but very good overall. We also tried the chilaquilles, which is not something we have on menus where we’re from, although the chorizo we opted for was a familiar breakfast meat an old neighbor from Texas had once introduced us to. It was also quite good, although maybe a little over-salted. All in all, a very good breakfast experience despite any misgivings the surroundings may have created. Well worth venturing east (and within the fence)for a try.

Cenote has okay coffee, okay food and okay service. Their veggie sandwich is good, but really heavy on the beats. It gets crowded inside, as it's a hotspot for remote workers, but the outside has a great view and shade from huge umbrellas. I like the outside at night when the lights are lit up. They don't separate their bathrooms based on gender, which is nice, since they only have 2. They sell cheap PBR and other local craft beers.

Seriously such a tasty lunch. It wasn't too heavy afterwords and every bite was scrumptious! The sauce was definitely like nothing I've ever tested! I got the pick two tacos with salad, the roasted cauliflower and mushroom tofu, everything was perfect!

One of the best vanilla latte's I've had in Austin. Portions of food are above average. Everything we have tried on the menu is fantastic! Rachele Garcia-Ritter and I are regulars here as this place is on our top 5 list for brunch.

Very hip vibe. Nice people working there. Loved being able to sit outside. The only downside was the amount of time I had to wait for a basic menu item at nearly 2 pm. It was busy, but not quite busy enough to justify a more than 30-minute wait for a single diner. Good overall, though.

Great coffee,. Love this little joint. Two blocks from the house we rented for F1. Cool mix of coffee house/wine & beer bar. Inexpensive, nice selection, chill vibe, and a great place to hangout.

My favourite spot in Austin for brunch, ended up staying here for a couple of hours and ordering more drinks and food. The burritos are great, staff are really friendly and engaging and the atmosphere is real nice. The front yard area is nice for a sunny morning as well. I decided to buy a Cenote shirt so I can rep it in Australia

Walking in you feel a little disconnected because it’s counter service when your order and the drinks are serviced to a pick up window and the food is delivered to your table. I guess they save on servers or servers tips maybe but seems a little broken as a warm way to be served. Breaks up the idea of sitting and taking in the atmosphere, reviewing the menu then ordering as standard goes. You walk in and are welcomed nevertheless then order and seat yourself. Drinks are called to the service window but then a suggestion of how to consume is a nice touch as the seasonal mimosas go. The food once delivered is actually well beyond expectations. Had a breakfast sandwich and a breakfast burrito. The chorizo was fantastic and the burrito served with a salsa. BEC had plenty of egg and a side of spicy mayo which is nice compared to normal offerings. Overall, a great experience but just an outside the normal ordering process as expected. Plenty of room inside and out. Even though it’s very hot in the summer for outside in my opinion. Worth a try if you want a solid value and delicious quick breakfast in Austin.

First time visiting on a Monday morning. It wasn't too busy but still bustling for a Monday. Outdoor seating is nice with lots of shade and big fans. There are no issues with flies. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you, no waiter service. The food was pretty tasty. We tried the Hatch burger w fries, traditional American breakfast, vegan tacos, tortilla soup, and avocado toast. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The vegan tacos were so stuffed that they needed a second tortilla. We also ordered chai tea, matcha, lemonade, and a coffee. The total bill was around $65. Overall, we'd eat here again, but I'm not sure it would be worth a long wait. I understand now why reviews state not to walk around the area. It was a bit sketchy and parking was difficult. No kids' meals either, which is why I deducted a star. I don't see any reason not to offer some sort of kid option, considering they even have a small "kid" play area.

The burrito was too much of one thing, but the migas are flavorful and tasty very good I highly recommend it. Vanilla coffee latte was rich in flavor, come here early morning before 8:30am you’ll get the best seating with the sunlight. Overall impressive small gem 💎 #NoCrimeHere

This was a great spot. Just east of downtown Austin, it was a great place to stop for brunch. They have a daily special menu as well as a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. They also have a coffee bar and make a horchata nitro brew, which was fantastic. They have an outside area and in door. The most outstanding item was that they have a free Narcan vending machine out in front. This shows that they are participating in combating the opioid epidemic that has plagued the USA. This is a great restaurant.

They brew Wild Gift coffee (excellent Austin wholesale roaster)! Breakfast sandwich on a croissant is amazing (especially the house sauce). The breakfast burritos are solid. It can get very busy around brunch hour, go early. Tables are first come first serve and you order at the counter.

Had the avocado toast with fried eggs (they don’t do poached eggs during the week I was told) and it was tummy. Didn’t come with any sides so I thought it would leave me hungry but it was very filling. Also had coffee, it was okay. The outdoor seating area is very cool and you can just take your laptop and work there. For me it didn’t really work I guess because we were sitting at the far end so the wifi was kinda off. The decor of the inside of the cafe is very cute, and so are the orange flowers that surround it. There’s a little play area in the yard for kids.

Cute little breakfast / Cafe. Our lattes were made perfectly. The Avocado toast was flavorful. The huevos rancheros were a favorite. Overall, the food was delicious.. very cute outside seating. Wouldn't recommend walking to this place unless you are familiar with the neighborhood.

This place is really good. Casual breakfast joint- you order at the counter and take a seat either inside or out. Went with friends and we ordered a ton of different things. Stars of the show were the apple butter pancakes, biscuits, and the OMG breakfast. Fish tacos were super flavorful but the fish wasn’t warm which was disappointing. Definitely will have to come back next time I’m in Austin!

Definitely a cool brunch spot to visit when you’re in Austin. The place has a nice vibe and quite the selection for coffee, food and drinks. Me and my friends enjoyed our brunch. The salmon salad was really good make sure to order the Apple Butter pancakes because it was really amazing! The biscuit that came with my order was really good too. Highly recommend this place! Great service and nice staff as well.
