Great food and good karaoke. Alot of military families go their due to the family setting,it has great service there as well,one of my favorite deserts is the hollow hollow, So i recomend this place highly to all ethic backgrounds the karaoke on friday and saturday are geared to the adults as a social event for which may not be appropriate for kids after hours.however doing the day you can enjoy many dishes prepared by professional chefs from their country.
Great New Place. I love this place(In my opinion this place is better than the Filipino Thai restaurant next door)...Been visiting this restaurant a few times now and I tried to go here every time I'm in the Mayport area and usually get to go...The owners and everyone else that works there are very friendly, the foods are super delicious with very reasonable price...I recommend this to everyone who loves Filipino food!!!
Pancit and adobo was soo delicious. The person at the counter asked if I wanted wrapped fried plantains and I am so glad I got them! Everything was amazing and the staff was really nice. Well worth it.

A friend had recommended this place to me and we ended up going together for lunch. Always had frequented Hangar Bay in the same strip but I always wondered what Cabalen was about. Well it's a filipine diner with ready to eat meals that can be prepared cafeteria style. Chicken adobo, pancit, menudo, vegetables, fried plantains are just some of the items. Seating is limited so get there early as its pretty popular with the local filipine population and the military.

Food is good, but CUSTOMER SERVICE ISN'T. not very friendly staff. I mean if I would own a restaurant I would talk to customers to see how they're doing or how's the food or whatever. Didn't even say thank u when we left.
It's a small restaurant, mostly good for take out but, there are a few table to sit. The we got the fish, bitter melon and the Ginataan. All the dish was good! Authenticity at it's finest.
Very good, authentic Filipino dishes, karinderia style. Their bicol express is a must try if you love spicy food.
