Phoenix & Dragon Chinese

I’ve never eaten at Dragon Express before, but when I saw it on DoorDash, I thought I’d give it a try. Ordered the Roast Pork Fried Rice, with hot & sour soup, side of egg rolls and a slice of cheesecake to finish it off. Order arrived correct, complete and packaged well for delivery. The pork fried rice was pretty basic...just rice, pork and a small sprinkle of tiny chopped herbs. There were no veggies at all. Pork was cooked really well, and had a nice subtle sweetness to it, and the rice had a hint of sesame oil and maybe a touch of ginger. It was quite tasty. The hot & sour soup was basic as well. It was very flavorful without a lot of black pepper like some other places do. The egg rolls were basic egg rolls. Nice and crispy on the outside and moist and tasty inside. The cheesecake was delicious. Very smooth & creamy (and very fresh). Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how good the entire meal was. Was a good value for the price. I would certainly order from here again.

They get two stars just because I think its nice that they deliver to northside and the lo mein had alright flavor but overall horrible horrible. For $22.00 definitely over priced. Small lo mein . Hot lemon pepper wings were so salty. Inside bag was a mess and we ordered fried rice and got plain fried rice . No egg no nothing no flavor. Not worth it.

Wouldn’t eat here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend. Fried chicken wings were raw, chicken in fried rice was slimy, cold, and tasteless. Both, fried and white, rices were cold and mushy. General Tso chicken was cold and the breading separated from the chicken. 100% do not recommend; quality of the food and cooking is disappointing.

Ordered through Uber eats. The dinner for two was just not very good. The soup broth was bland, the Mongolian beef had a chewy, unpleasant texture and the rice was hard. The sweet and sour chicken was okay, nothing special, and we ended up tossing it, too. The only reason I’m leaving 2 stars is for the Chinese donuts (they were quite tasty).

So, a review, um. Simply the best. Sure, I've been ordering from Dragon Express longer than I've been finding things with Google Maps. Their food (make mine Moo Goo Gai Pan) is not just the best Chinese delivery in town it's the best Chinese in town period. Huge, fresh vegetables and meats, Yunmy egg drop soup. Crab Angels to die for. Yum!
