A Good Cause, a Good Sandwich. I Really just happened across Sophie's while I was out driving around and I'm really glad I stopped in. If you have a soft spot for puppies of all ages, this is a feel-good place to spend a couple bucks. It was also nice that the sandwich I got, the Rachel, was a very generously sized sandwich made with fresh ingredients that delivered on the promise of being a hearty warm comfort-food lunch on a cold rainy morning. They also had some nice looking soups and quiche.
All in all, nice folks and a very puppy-centric business that I feel good stopping at.
I recently visited Sophie's Uptown after seeing a delicious looking picture of a Cuban sandwich on their Facebook page. My husband is from Florida and has been looking for a good Cuban since we moved here. Well he found it! It isn't exactly the same as he is used to but he said this one was better. I think it is because of the locally made Doux South pickles. My son, who is a picky eater, inhaled the Ruben sandwich! My favorite is the tomato basil soup. I dream about that soup!
We loved eating here! They have a wide variety of specials and several gluten free options. Everyone was extremely nice and courteous and we were routinely checked on during our meal. It's a homey, quiet environment convenient to Buckhead - we look forward to going back!
Excellent food. But a small slice of quiche for $9 is excessive.
Always great food and specials and love that some proceeds go to dog charities.
