Good food selections. Limited on wine choices
We had a wonderful time dining at Trace earlier this week during a DishCrawl! The ambiance and decor are spectacular. The chef spent time explaining the restaurant's concept and his menu selections for us. Trace supports local farmers and sources their ingredients locally.
We were served turkey meatloaf, a grilled chicken wing and a chocolate torte.
I enjoyed the grilled chicken wing but the turkey meatloaf wasn't quite what I expected. The specialty drink...Fall Harvest was good. The chocolate torte was was delicious. The presentation was beautiful.
We were able to take home a sample of a special rub made by the chef.
Delicious food served in a gorgeous location. Very warm and comfortable. A fantastic place to dine with friends and just enjoy the vibe of it. I can recommend the grilled bacon and pimento cheese sandwich. Great cocktails as well. If you eat there, you can get your valet parking validated, so eating in midtown Atlanta becomes a breeze.
I had lunch here a few weeks ago with friends. This restaurant is very cool. It has a big, open atmosphere with modern, chic design and the southern style food is delicious. The server was very personable and helpful about the menu. They offer free parking if you eat at the restaurant which is a nice perk in mid-town where you pay for parking everywhere you go.

Trace has replaced Spice Market in the W Hotel. I was there for a food crawl and was treated to , Turkey Meatloaf, Grilled Chicken Wing and a Chocolate Torte. The specialty cocktail was Fall Harvest.
Trace brings you fresh ingredients from local markets. The meatloaf is made with turkey, bacon, cranberry and a bacon demi. Anything with bacon listed twice in the ingredients list should be awesome right? I found the meatloaf to just be eh The grilled chicken wing was eh as well. It was a chicken wing.
But let me tell you about the Chocolate Torte. I am eating in now. Slow bite by delicious slow bite. Trace says is flour less. That works for me because its delicious. I love chocolate and this torte is awesome.
The drink Fall Harvest made with Hendricks gin, Cointeau and apple rosemary puree. Gin will make you sin, but this drink will make you wish you could hear the waves crashing when you close your eyes. Nice, light and so refreshing.
Trace is a cool spot. I would recommend it for desert and drinks. The bar is large, the ambiance is sexy and the staff was pleasant.
At Trace, the ambiance is welcoming southern kitchen meets modern day chic. I love how the two concepts were merged together to create a fusion of rustic beauty. The tantalizing food and delicious cocktails are both equally amazing!
Beautiful space, friendly service, prices just a bit high. But worth checking out.
A great upscale place to grab a drink and sit. And sit and drink.... and sit. The chairs are cool okay.
