We’re from Colorado and have been looking for some Mexican food that reminds us of Home and we got it from Chuy’s!!! Hatch green chile’s are the absolute best and I’m so glad we found some food that comes from the southwest! We’ll make the hour drive just to eat here because there is no other place like it around these parts!
This is a favorite for my family. The decor is fun in both the Dunwoody and Barrett Parkway locations (haven't visited others). There is often a lady making fresh quesadillas, and my son loves to watch it. The jalapeño ranch dip is absolutely addictive, and the nachos are hit and fresh. They have a great Tex Mex variety, a great value kids' menu (complete with dessert), and ample entrees. The burritos are 2 meals. The guacamole is fresh and delicious, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. A great, fun place for family meals!
Great place with amazing food . Talk about portions and Chuy's is the place to be! I tried the Chica Chica Boom Boom Enchiladas and they were so good! :) I ordered one of the maragritas (Strawberry on the rocks) and that was great too!
I rate a good mexican place with the guac and queso they serve and this place is doing a great job. I would definitely recommend it for lunches and dinner.
You can find Chuy's at 118 Perimeter Center W., Atlanta, GA 30346 in the same shopping center anchored by Barnes and Noble Books - it's a standalone building that formerly was a Brazilian steakhouse called Fires of Brazil. This is near the back-side of Perimeter Mall and can be walked to from the parking lot behind Von Maur. Parking is anywhere around the restaurant with overflow stretching to the right side behind the building. Alternatively you can park in the large lot in front of the B&N Books.
Always a great experience! Try one of their specialty margaritas that are out of this world! Salsa is very fresh and unique and staff always seems upbeat!
Better than average Tex Mex. Very good chips and salsa. They have a more watery salsa but it tastes very fresh and has a good spice level. They also serve a special dip that is made with ranch dressing and tomatillo salsa that is delicious and like nothing I have ever had in any other Mexican place. I had the Carne Guisada tacos, which was basically a small bowl of beef stew served with guacamole (very good), pico, rice, beans, cheese and corn tortillas. The rice and beans were nothing exciting but overall it was a delicious lunch for $9. Quick service and interesting decor. Will go back to try more dishes and the margaritas.
Large portions that you expect from The South. My family of four ordered one appetizer and one entrée each for takeout the other night; there was so much food that we needed help from the staff to carry it all to the car. Being one who eats very little meat, I ordered the nachos and the bean & cheese Big As Yo' Face Burrito. The nachos were huge, requiring a large pizza box to carry them, as was my 12 inch burrito. The burrito was extremely tasty, and the nachos came with everything separated so that I could limit the amount of jalapeños that made it in. Overall, great food that I would definitely order again.
I am a true Texan and this place rocks!! It's originally from Austin and has slowly expanded! I was so excited when I heard it was coming to Atlanta! The chicka chicka boom is the best on the menu!! The salsa is a fresh pico de gallo and the best I've tasted at any Mexican restaurant!!
Typical Americanized Mexican restaurant. Food is kinda okay
I had the Steak Burrito for lunch. The chips are thin. The salsa is spicy and runny. I thought the salsa had a nice kick to it. The steak burrito was alight. Fresh enough and hot, fresh, tasty. Service was attentive and friendly. I would recommend.
It was great to find some New Mexican style food on the menus with the Tex-Mex. All very well prepared from fresh ingredients.
Oh so good.... My family and I went here for the first time today. Wait staff was very attentive and we were seated quickly even though they were pretty busy. I had the combination plate of a cheese enchilada, chicken chalupa, taco, mexican rice and refried beans. Wow, it was so good, and the serving size was perfect! My son even loved the chicken enchiladas he got, so overall, A+ for this place! Will be going back again soon...
My go to place for Tex-mex food! I absolutely love the chicken flautas and the chicken tortilla soup here. The portion is huge and it surely will fill up your tummy. The salsa is yummy too. The Mexican rice here is delicious. I wish the ambience was better and more hygienic.
I come here nearly every other week, and not once have we been dissatisfied. We are constantly served with great service, the staff always very friendly, and a great environment for all ages. I would recommend asking for the creamy jalapeño dip, as it’s phenomenal, along with their boom boom sauce.
Chuy's Tex-Mex is a popular restaurant chain that serves up a unique blend of Texan and Mexican cuisine. Founded in 1982 in Austin, Texas, the restaurant has since expanded to over 100 locations across the United States. Chuy's is known for its fresh, made-from-scratch dishes, with a menu that includes fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, and more.
I highly suggest the CHICKA-CHICKA BOOM-BOOM enchiladas. You also must have the cream jalapeño dip try it for your chips. We call that dip crack sauce - try it and you will see why.
Significantly reduced the quantity of items we exactly repeated same order plus one additional item but still returned with bit empty stomach. Taste is good
Awesome Lunch this afternoon was my first time coming here and have to say I was really impressed with my experience. The prices on the menu were very reasonable and quality was pretty good but I won’t say the best. We decided to seat in a both near the bar and was served by Kevin the bartender, drinks were strong and good I suggest the Texas Margarita! They also provided Complementary chips and dip, I had the chicken quesadilla and my girl had a beef burrito we both enjoyed our plates. Will be back again soon to try more.
First time at this restaurant. I was seated promptly at the bar due to a 15-20m wait for a table. I didn’t mind the bar considering it was only myself. Nae the bartender was really personable and attentive. It was quick to receive my plate after ordering. It took roughly 10m. The portions were as expected. 3 shrimp tacos were ordered. The drinks were slightly overpriced. I had gotten the white peach sangria. Chips and salsa come with table.
We eat here often. The servers are all great and the food quality keeps improving. Perhaps they have had a manager change? Whatever they have done, they should keep it up!!
The Macho Burrito with Boom Boom sauce is the best! It is back for a limited time and I hope they put it permanently on the menu. If you prefer California Mexican, like a Pork Chile Verde Burrito, this is for you! Nothing else like this in the southeast. They call it Tex Mex, but it is also similar to Mexican Food far out west. And, they make their tortillas fresh!
I forgot to photograph the food 😩 but it was great! Will definitely return. Had the fajitas combo
I've been coming to this Chuys location for years and it's one of my go-to tex mex places. You get the same food every time, and it's pretty good! Portions are good for price, and they're consistent, but tonight I experienced something that I just had to share. We got served by an amazing woman named Wawa and she was just so kind and friendly during the whole night, despite us arriving at around 9:10 (they close at 10). She was quick, knowledgable, friendly, and just overall very kind. Truly some of the best customer service I've had to date. She helped us with the menu, cleaned off a table to let us switch when ours was a bit too cold, and brought us fresh chips. She was amazing and I hope Chuy's recognizes what a great employee they have!
First time ordering from here. Ordering was easy and the food was great! They make their own taco shells! The chips had the right amount of salt and the creamy jalapeno queso is amazing. We ordered the taco kit, which comes with a bag of tortilla chips, ground beef, home-made salsa, queso, refried beans, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, hard shells and soft shells. You can make it the way you want. They also have guacamole for vegetarians instead of meat. There's an outdoor area and inside is covered with pictures.
