I lived in Atascadero, CA until I was 5 and recently went back to revisit and was so happy to see the Golden China Restaurant was open. All Chinese food I eat in life is judged based on the food here since it was my 1st memory of eating Chinese food! The staff and owner as great! It looks so similar to what I remember as a kid!! I often get take out delivered and have for several years now-it’s made with care exactly like I like. Tony is a great cook who really goes the extra mile to make your meal fresh and tasty. I’ve also had the buffet and if they’re running out or out of something they’ll make
more if you just ask. They’re pretty good about doing anything you ask for within reason. We always feel we got GREAT fresh good food when we order here.
No buffet! Just huge plates and fresh food of 3 to 4 items. I'm stuffed!
Used to work there. Gréât staff and family. I miss them all so much. The buffet was great and I had an amazing experience each time I would eat out of work or when I was working. If the restaurant was now where I lived. It would be my go to restaurant once again ❤️
My boyfriend and I drive a truck and we have eaten Chinese restaurants all over the country. I agree with the other gentlemen, the food was way above average. The delivery was timely, and delivery ladies were extremely nice. Egg flower soup was a perfect consistency. Fried foods were crisp and not greasy. Love the California roll😁
The two of us had the buffet & are fans of this place & buffets, which I think this is the only one in Atascadero. The honey walnut shrimp was delicious as was the sushi(s), the lemon chicken & the included soups. The service was attentive & served good water. It cost the two of us $32, plus tip, which we thought was fair.
Enjoyed eating here with my family. Staff was very attentive and friendly, food was excellent at its best, and just above average at worst. Very fair selection for the price, but could definitley expand upon the available foods. Very deserving of four stars, and I look forward to visiting again
We go here a couple times a month. Very good food at a decent price. Your order is filled quickly and correctly.
My favorite Chinese Buffet! I have never had a bad experience there. The staff is very friendly and come & refill your drink as much as they can. My family always goes there for Christmas Eve dinner. Love them!
Great food. good prices. very friendly staff. Kid safe. Comfortable atmosphere. I will be a regular here glad we tried it.
