Had such an amazing meal last night!! My new favorite new restaurant in Aspen is Plato's!!!
The faux igloo was the BEST experience. I think mainly because our attendant Patrick was sooooo amazing!! He was beyond accommodating and was so chill and had the best presence and attitude. We were a large party with a lot of requests and he mad use feel special and deserving of this experience. He was hands down the reason for this review. Thank you Patrick!
Superior service, inventive food, and spectacular view. Plato’s was our favorite restaurant from a five-day vacation to Aspen. The restaurant is part of the Aspen Meadows Resort on the outskirts of Aspen; while this isn’t easily walkable from the city center, don’t let the distance deter you from making reservations and taking a hotel shuttle, private auto, or taxi to the location. The reception was friendly and efficient; our hostess accommodated our desired seating for a wonderful view but out of the sun (there inside and outside seating with umbrellas for shade outside). No matter the seating, the perspective is a spectacular scene across the valley. The service was fantastic; everyone was professional, friendly, and accommodating. The design and furnishings are sleek modern with good contemporary music in the background. The menu was smallish but very interesting with an emphasis on local ingredients. We tried a smattering of dishes from the All Day and Seasonal menus—everything was spectacular in presentation, taste, and inventiveness. The bar drinks were interesting and tasty, although the bar did tend to get overwhelmed at times. The prices were on the higher side (normal for Aspen) but well worth it—a top value among comparable local restaurants. Overall, I rate Plato’s as Highly Recommended—the best restaurant in Aspen.
Great experience. Amazing service and food!
Amazing food! Went here for my birthday dinner, they brought out 2 appetizers for us. I love how they used locally sourced food. The Elk was perfect, maybe it was the way it was sliced thinly, but it didn't taste too gamey. Bone marrow was to die for, like always, came with a sweet peach chutney. The beet gazpacho was personally one of my favorite dishes. It was mouth watering and the (what I believe was cucumber) added a refreshing spin. I wasn't crazy about the caviar, however my husband thought they were perfect. I felt the potatoes and cream took over the dish. We definitely would recommend this spot for anyone celebrating an occasion or looking for a great meal. Plus the view is wonderful!
We went here for a prix fixe thanksgiving dinner and it was easily one of the best thanksgiving meals I’ve had. The food was exactly what you want for Turkey Day and the meal plus dessert was $28. That’s right. Twenty. Eight. Dollars. In Aspen. The value for money was sky high, and of course there is the view. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains throughout the restaurant. This is easily my favorite experience in Aspen thus far.
Hands down some of the best food around the valley, with world-class desserts, thank you Chef Max and company, Alex you were the best of service and great with the Wine... Thank you Thomas... Great evening...
