Amazing meal. Excellent service. Beautiful atmosphere. The grit cakes were a new taste I'd never had and very good. The pork chop was melt in your mouth like butter delish!
If you're looking for an upscale local hideout this is it. The menu, staff, and location are incredible. Whether you are driving through Asheville, or a new neighbor, you must treat yourself to a meal. Pictured are the carrot cake, the shrimp and fried okra gumbo, the lamb ribs and the fried grits with an incredible pepper jam. I greatly look forward to returning. Thank you Benne for the amazing evening
My friend and I were visiting Asheville for the weekend, and stopping in on our last day. I'm glad we did, because the food was amazing (the granola on the yogurt bowl?? I want a bag of it), everyone was friendly and extremely accommodating. Even without a reservation the staff was kind and helped us get seated quickly. Leah was our server, and she was lovely. She helped us decide what to get, and her recommendations were great!
Highly recommend Benne on Eagle (make a reservation ahead of time, or call to get on the waitlist!)
Sunday brunch was amazing! Flavorful and beautiful. Atmosphere was relaxed. Leah was our incredible server - even brought our pup water. Bloodys were on point (homemade) which is hard to find! 10/10, everything we could have hoped for! Also you can valet at the foundry and it’s in the courtyard!
Food / atmosphere / service OUTSTANDING! Food you will never be able to order anywhere else, and 1000% top tier. Cocktail menu was also very thought out and executed. 5 things ordered and they all exceeded any expectations. First time here and definitely not the last👏🏻
Wow what an amazing experience. The customer service, the food, the culture, THE experience. Me and my friend drove to Asheville, NC from Charlotte,NC and stumbled upon place on TikTok in route. The reviews did not disappoint. We went for brunch our pictures are posted above. We had the honor of learning about Benne(a seed) and the culture that arises from its rich African American roots. Emily the manager of food and beverage personally gave us so much history on this establishment. I will say it’s amazing. Highly recommend 10/10. A must while in Asheville, NC.
Stopped in for dinner with my son. The atmosphere is laid back. Jessica was very good at her job. The chairs are very uncomfortable and hard. The Mo Benne Blues drink was very good thanks to Brandon. The Sweet Potato Fish Hush Puppies need more Sweet Potato and less Fish. The Blackened Trout was very good. The Pork Chop was a lil drry and the Red Eye Gravy was watery and had no flavor. The Mashed Potatoes were very good. Max B cooked a good meal. Nice place to eat for dinner.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Asheville!!!! I looooved everything. I went for breakfast and HAD to turn back to come for DINNER!!!!
I had chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits (best shrimp ever) and oxtail with brocolini. EXCEPTIONAL!
Shout out to the Executive Chef, Jarrel McRae!!!!
Our server Keegan was outstanding. She took our order without missing any of our details and ensure our food was brought back us quickly. The food was amazing so much in fact we had breakfast there our second morning without hesitation.
Unbelievable service! So kind and fun and accommodating. Truly had our whole group smiling the whole time we were there! They went the extra mile to bring us a fabulous brunch. Our waiter was Keith- so cool and nice! And Chef Max had the BEST vibe and made my son a special order… really appreciated the special touches! Everyone was fabulous! Will go back!
