Darling spot in Asbury Park with delicious food. They are walk in only so we went early on a Saturday morning, there was no wait for a table at 9:30am. The decor is so cute and the staff was very friendly. Our group ordered the chicken and waffles, breakfast burrito, and chili with cornbread and poached eggs. Everything was great and the portions were huge! There was a big line when we left but we hope to return to try some pastries!
Best brunch I've had in recent memory. We had the sxsw (chili and poached eggs over cornbread) and this HUGE banana skillet cake thing, and both were absolutely delicious. Sausage was lean and well-seasoned. Good coffee and great service too.
Our first time eating here, showed up early for breakfast. The food was absolutely fantastic and the special coffee/espresso drinks were a great addition. We will most likely return and continue to try the entire menu.

This review is long overdue but Cardinal catered my wedding in 2021 after they were recommended by the Asbury Hotel where we held our wedding. The food was amazing and their service was incredible. Guests to this day still mention the tomato tart among other dishes. They allowed us to tailor the menu to create a custom spread and fit the theme we were going for. After we booked them we decided to go to the restaurant and it was incredible. The food, the atmosphere, everything. We loved the place so much we booked their restaurant for our rehearsal dinner where of course the food was delicious and fit our casual theme. My wife and I have been going back but what really put them in a tier above every other restaurant in New Jersey was when we went for our second anniversary. I at the last minute sent them a message letting them know what we were celebrating and that we were heading down. Their spectacular staff was able to get some flowers for my wife and make our brunch so very special. I cannot recommend this place enough, whether for breakfast or lunch or to cater any special occasion. Thank you Cardinal from the bottom of my heart, you are a pat of mine and my wife's story and you have lifelong customers in us. We will always make the drive down from Essex county even if it means heading right back up the parkway immediately after. It's always worth it.
We had an amazing experience in this spot for brunch. The food and our waitress Nicole were amazing! Highly recommend having a visit if you are looking for good quality food!! The range of coffee flavours were gorgeous!! We tried the coconut and Carmel coffee it was just wow. The portion sizes were brilliant and the food was top notch!!
From the moment we approached the host to put our name on the list, we were received with a smile, professionalism and efficiency. Our wait time went by so fast.

We shared the Panzanella Salad as an appetizer. It was mouth watering. Tasted as great as it looked. Cold brew coffee was amazingly refreshing. My mom had the Breakfast Burrito, my son had the Belgian Waffels. And I had the incredible Cacio e Pepe Eggs. I never thought eggs could be the star of a meal like these. It seems crazy to rave over eggs like this but believe me they are really this good.
Portions are plenty, price is reasonable. I will visit here everytime I am in Asbury.
