The service and ambience were really good, and the food was good. I wish the chicken had a little bit more of a flavor infused. Quantity was large, I had it for 2 meals.
The potatoes, sauce everything else was good. My friend had a Birthday, and the complementary cake was amazing !!
They had amazing cauliflower started. My friends liked the seafood starters as well.
Overall it is a good experience, i wish i could give all five stars!
Nothing but good things to say about this place. Had brunch there on Sunday with a friend and the atmosphere was great, the food was delightful, and the staff was just so friendly. My friend had several cocktails which he said were amazing and I had the egg and sausage breakfast sandwich which was really good. I haven't had many places that do breakfast with crispy fingerling potatoes, but I love the idea and it was well executed. They kept my coffee cup full the entire time I was there and all in all I just had a really good time.
Really enjoyed the great ambiance and service of this place. Looks small from outside but really opens up when you walk in. The crispy skin salmon and the Etti (I think) pasta was excellent. The sausage had fennel in it which adds another dimension to the flavor. Definitely recommend!
2020:Not great food, but good. I can’t fully rate this place though unless I eat inside. We ate out in the back which wasn’t as nice as it could’ve been. Probably due to COVID though. Very chill and nice waiters. Good and strong cocktails. I’m gonna try this place again and get the vibes from inside.
2022: Really good food and the inside is so nice and cozy. Loved the Brussels sprouts! Lavender blues cocktail wasn’t that good.
The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
The food at Mason Bar and Kitchen is delicious and fresh. The menu offers a diverse selection of appetizers entrees desserts the dishes are well-presented flavorful innovative and the portions are generous appropriate for the price.

Nice spot! Good food & some good service.
I read through most of the feedback and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t off how my experience with this place. I agree with most of the reviews that the price of the food was on the high side. Food was decent but it didn’t create a lasting impression to actually tell others that the restaurant serves an amazing one of a kind menu. I wouldn’t call it upscale yet but it can get there. The ambiance is good and the the service was decent. Just my 2cents servers should know the drinks in the bar and how it is served best. Everyone is entitled to choose their alcohol brand when ordering their cocktails. However, knowing your bartender's skills and how they make their drinks can make you more drink sales.
Overall, it's a decent place for food and drinks and its the only place that, is open till midnight on some days. I presume they charge more because they stay up late. The restaurant also stops serving food at a certain time and the hostess said because they don't enough walk-ins that eat. Maybe have some tapas style or finger food for people who came in to drink.
We met some friends for lunch today. We were the first to arrive and told the hostess/waiter (a short brunette) that we had a reservation for 6 people. Her greeting to us was luke warm at best and she quickly sat us at our table. After tossing some menus at us she walked away without a word. She came back a few minutes later and slammed six glasses of water down in front of us, even though we were the only ones at the table. She left again and she didn't come back....thank God as she has no business interacting with customers. The rest of our party arrived and things got much better. A young man came to take our orders and he was friendly and professional. The bright spot of the day however, was the food. The back of the house staff knows what they are doing. Not sure I would come back though, the rude girl definitely ruined the experience.
Trendy new American restaurant right in Arroyo Grande downtown village. Salmon was both delicious and cooked perfectly. Scallops also delicious. Crab cakes could have used more meat v flour. Cocktails also delish but all seemed to be a bit sweet. Overall great vibe and food and would for sure go back again
Just happened to come upon this cool place while on a long drive north from LA to Santa Cruz - taking the backroads through Santa Barbara and San Louis Obispo counties you may happen upon this quaint little town called Arroyo Grande. This place has a of the rustic charm you’d expect of a cow town, with the added bonus of a modern, spacious kitchen With plenty of craft beers and cocktails on tap. I had the steak sandwich which was so delicious i ate it before i could remember to take a photo for this review - lolol. The people are kind and went out of their way to greet me. I really do like this place and will make it a point to stop through on my next trip!
