Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab - Arroyo Grande

This place never changes and still looks like Burnardoz. Like everything post-Covid prices are up, bit hey it's not an everyday expense. Did notice that at least on this day there were no sherbets or non-dairy available. AG location open late, but the SLO location seems to close before the website hours (at least on Sunday Sept 4 they were closed before 8:30,website says 9). Still delighted that the place is still here and apparently thriving. There's also some kind of a social angle here, not that they're SJWs but it is structured as a mutual benefit corporation.

The best ice cream in Pismo Beach and I'm glad that they have locations in other places further down now like Santa Barbara. Somewhat traditional flavors, not bizarre, but super tasty. The shop is nicely decorated and has indoor bench seating or outdoor tables. Cute area to walk around, lots of restaurants and shops and free parking.

My husband and I came here after dinner and it was soooo good! It was hard to choose what I wanted-- so many delicious looking options, but I went with my classic cookie dough on a waffle cone and he got mint chip on a cone. Super good ice cream and cones and a perfect way to end our night. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely return!

Always fantastic. Came here as a kid, been visiting ever since! This was the place to get a cone on the way home from the local middle school with allowance, and the place to treat that special someone. The flavors change so it is always exciting for a stop by! I recommend this place to everyone! The prices are a little higher than a thrift shop but you cannot beat the quality and atmosphere.
