We live so close to this place and had never been! We went on a chill Saturday right before the afternoon crowds came in. Loved seeing all the dogs that are welcome inside and outside. We had the most amazing seltzer which was a cherry limeade blue raspberry (purple drink in the photo). I wish they had it to go but they explained why they couldn’t so we enjoyed what we could have there.
My only reason for 4 stars is one of the bartenders was not friendly at all. He had a scowl the whole time and anytime we came up to get a drink and said thank you, he would just walk away. He looked like he rather be anywhere else but there. Maybe he was having a bad day but it soured part of the experience. There was another bartender who was really nice and played some really great music from his playlist and even stopped to chat with us for a bit.
Overall, still recommend! Just hope maybe the next time, we’ll get two friendly bartenders.
Solid beers here. I like sours, and there's usually at least one good one on tap. But the real selling point for this spot is its proximity to the dog park and the fact that it's dog friendly. This is just a great local place for a Saturday with the family (including the pup)!
I thought it was cool experience. I tried their flight after I tried their stout. Honestly, I wasn't a fan of any of the selections in the flight except for the double ipa (sour, Irish, ipa, and double ipa). I typically love sour beers, but there was something missing. The Irish beer didn't agree me, and the ipa was a little to laxed for me. However, give it a try for yourself. Where my tongue may have missed notes yours may certainly capture each one of them. But let me make it clear that the double ipa was good. It wasn't as good as their stout which was great! But it was good. Service was excellent, and the brewery wasn't to busy on a Saturday night. Brew Food VA was there serving an amazing chicken parm and Greek salad which made the stouts pop even more. I guess I love me some stouts hahaha. Anyway, go check them out. My friends and I had a good time.
We enjoyed this place. The beers tasted great. It is a small place with a warehouse feel. We had the Irish Red, Kolsch, and Porter. All were good. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great beer and location! Right next to the park! They also open up the brewery (garage door) on nice days. It does get very crowded, especially on weekends and nice days. There is limited seating and parking can be a pain on nice days/weekends. Dogs are allowed in the brewery but they need to be reviewed by the staff before entering! So if you like dogs, beer, and good talks this is the place for you!
My daughter found this brewery and said it was a cool place. We visited her and our niece yesterday and went here. Wow! I was really impressed. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. The beers all have distinctive flavors.
The sour was tart but not overly so. Tasty!
The stout I got had a wonderful and balanced mix of chocolate and coffee without being bitter or biting in it's profile.
The ginger carried that taste but lightly. Not over done for sure!
I got a small pour of the Irish ale. Super delightful! Years ago I tried a commercial Irish and bleck. ND Brewing fixed that lol. Really a smooth beer. I got a 2nd pour.
They allow outside food on premises and have a food truck out front. The food truck changes so you need to check that out. I saw a flyer in the bathroom listing who was coming. We brought District Taco and had a wonderful lunch. Then we played a couple rounds of Uno. They have a game rack.
Yes I'd go again and again. Great place!
