This was a surprisingly impressive BBQ joint. We had the sliced brisket, ribs and sausage which were all very good. The meats had a mild smoke flavor and very good seasoning. The texture of the brisket and ribs was spot on. They were both tender but not so tender they disintegrated. Their sausage was also very good with a nice fatty taste which is what I like. The Mac and Cheese and Potato Salad were both excellent. This is a very good Texas BBQ restaurant.

Excellent food from Ethiopia. Not having had any Ethiopian food before the lesson the lady showed on eating was awesome. The “bread” was basically your fork. She explained the bread and a bit about the other dishes on the table. We had several original dishes as well as some traditional Texas staples. The integration of some of the spices on the rib tips was truly a world class flavor. Several of the vegetables dishes were spicy for my mild palette but awesome when eaten with the other dishes. Thank you for such an awesome meal.

“Delicious” doesn’t do this place justice. A lovely concept and execution, absolutely worth the 45 minute drive from Dallas. As a Texas native I thought I knew good barbecue but this has completely changed the game. The platter for 3 is a perfect mix of classic Texas BBQ and Ethiopian cuisine. Do yourself a favor and go here immediately (and bring me back a plate!)

Smoke'N Ash BBQ is godsent. The food is is too good. Who ever is in the kitchen cooking this food is going to heaven. You have to try this place if you're in the area. Ethiopian Texas fusion is the best idea ever and goes so well. The meats are so tender and perfectly seasoned. I was really excited to try the injera and wot and was not disappointed. The owners of this restaurant are so friendly and happy to share their culture and food.

My boyfriend and I visited this place for the 1st time this past weekend since we were craving a good baked potato and saw other reviews, so we decided to try it out. This place was definitely good. The staff was very friendly and sweet. We also tried a few desserts that they served and they were really good! We will be back for another visit.

I'm so glad I finally stopped by Smoke'N Ash. This place is nothing but a treasure. If you're new to Ethiopian food and love BBQ this is a great fusion spot to hit. The chef is super helpful and friendly, she'll make sure you know what you're getting. The food is honestly on another level, it is true fusion. The best of both worlds is definitely prevalent in this establishment. Easily one of my favorite BBQ places in DFW.

We got the Tex-Ethiopian Platter for 2 and it had everything you needed to get a taste of Smoke n’ Ash’s beautifully crafted food. Portions were very generous, we could barely finish it all. The brisket and pork ribs were our favorite meats— they were incredibly tender and flavorful. Everything on our plate was delicious.

Outstanding. An interesting combination of Texas BBQ and Ethiopian cuisine . I grew up with a specific, and traditional definition of BBQ in mind. Places like this are evolving my thinking. I don’t recall the name but I recommend the Ethiopian BBQ platter. Sorry, I was so excited I started eating before I took the photo.
