Worst place EVER! First, I accidentally ordered from the wrong location 😔. Ordered combination fried rice (spicy), chicken rice noodles and 5 wings. Came home and NONE of the food had ANY seasoning. Had to put soy sauce on both the combination fried rice and the rice noodles. Called the carryout back to informed them. Asked if they can deliver the food but because we ordered carryout, he said NO. What was supposed to be a 30min drive (round trip) it will now be 1 hr in total. About $28 down the drain. NEVER will order from this place again!

. Last night I called to place an order for pick up. I ordered the chicken fried rice. When I came to pick up my order, the woman taking the orders raised her voice and said “you people keep asking about the price!”. I was inquiring about prices before I placed my order. She was disrespectful, rude and undeserving of my hard earned money. As a customer, I have a right to know how much my order will be. I would not recommend this place. If I could give it a 0 star rating I would.

Prices are low but you get what you pay for. Orange beef was fair to poor taste, chicken low mein and sesame chicken were fair to good, depending on the piece, and dumplings were not good and like bagged and microwaved. People were nice though, so that was good. A little improvement would go a long way. Thanks.

A small EDIT below for an actual customer service 😉 (3/27/21) Asked for something got someone else's order. Called to say it wasn't my order woman said No! You order! I said I'm sorry why would I order something I've never got before as a regular and I'm allergic to shellfish.. One item was correct but other two weren't. I politely asked if I can come back and show her because I repeatedly mentioned it's not what I ordered and she wouldn't read it back. Also the total on my receipt was more than what I've seen on the actual menu items I ordered including tax. The receipts don't even show your order which is not normal. And they don't give receipts with cash orders which is why I pay by card for these reasons. She was rude and I said 1 star for YOU NO?! She said calm down I said I was until you scammed me she said No! I hung up and gave 1 star review now. 😃 Edit: This place is like the only place that makes you pay only credit card to get a receipt and it doesn't even show on your receipt what you pay for which leads to reviews like this. I mean if you can't tell who was literally just in your place of business you obviously don't have surveillance cams. You obviously are running some kind of tax scam too. You also cheat the customer this way because there's actually no way they can get a fast one over on you. To be fair, I always avoid places like this simply because it's just like begging someone to gamble their money away on a possibility of getting everything 100% wrong and you get stuck with the bill. Without proof of purchase too. Not bad for the business but bad for the customer unless the customer wants to make it good and contact the IRS. Who cares. I haven't been back for like over 2 years so I just don't do business. Just say no to con artists. let's be honest if they weren't they would have actual receipts even with cash money money. Last I checked for several years they don't do this. No patronage for you! Fair? PS. Thank you for all the awesome views and likes. ☝️🤓

5 Stars for Eastern Cafe & Carryout!!! The best Chinese food in the District/Maryland/Virginia. Quick pickup and delivery plus late night hours and eat in the intimate cafe. A pleasant staff & reasonable prices. If you're hungry for great Chinese food this is place to go.. Thank You Eastern Cafe & Carryoutl!!!

I am very disappointed on how they handled my service. I came in ordered just a small fry. Paid my money stepped out to head to the bank across the street. I came back in 20min to retrieve my order and the lady tells me oh I forgot to put it in with laughter and smiles. She tells the guy to drop the fries. I asked for a refund. Like why would I want to want any longer for an order that was place in a timely fashion when they should have been prepared when I originally placed it. My argument is be sure your order is put in to be made and not just money collected.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. This was the absolute worst experience. They messed up my order. When I called to inform them of their mistake, they insisted that I had the right order and i simply did not know what I had ordered. Imagine that!!! ??? I had placed the order online and followed up with a confirmation call, I always do that to ensure my browser works; they verified the order, no room for mistake on my part. Yet delivered something totally different!!! They INSISTED that I should send them a picture of the order that was delivered, I DID, after reviewing the picture, they tried to convince me that it was the correct order, it just appeared to be different, ....then the manager began to pretend that the phone line had static, so he was having trouble hearing on the phone and quickly hung up the phone!!! I have had a BAD food experience with them before. i.e. I've been ordering from them for a few years. On another occasion I was given spoiled chicken and decided that I would not order anymore and I stopped ordering from them. However, They have 2 locations and they insisted that the bad food was from another location etc, so this evening I was tired and decided that it's been awhile, so I could try calling the so-called better location and to my disappointment, NOTHING has changed!! BAD SERVICE and still carry BAD and or mediocre food. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! This evening I AM STUCK WITH SOME WEIRD CONCOCTION THAT I CANNOT EAT.....AND WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!! At no point did ANY one, neither the manager or the order taker make any attempt to apologize or asked if I wanted to have the correct order delivered.Keep in mind, I ordered from this place regularly for over 5 years!! They have a AWFUL criminal mentality!!! I usually just order from them despite their mediocre cooking because I figured it was still better than typical fast food. SMH.
