Market Basket

Discovered Market Basket in 2011 when I started working security in the Crystal City shops. The food, prices and service are all on point. No complaints here. Plus they're one of few businesses that haven't gone out of business due to the high cost of rent and Covid-19. It's true. Only the strong 💪🏼 survive.👍🏼💯😂

I've lived in the Crystal City/Pentagon City area for a little over 3 years now, so I visit the Underground Shops quite often. When arriving back into Crystal City from a long day at work, I'm usually hungry for a snack, and am constantly tempted by Dunkin Donuts, or an Auntie Anne's Pretzels. Thankfully, I've never given in to Dunkin Donuts, though I have given in to Auntie Anne's quite a few times. Though I know pretzels aren't the unhealthiest of snacks, I know much healthier snacks await at Market Basket. I've never tried their hot food or salad bar, and have only purchased packaged goods, which is what this review is based off of. Their prices for packaged goods (at least the snacks I've purchased) are comparable to other places. I usually pick up a bag of a KIND bar (of which I also think they have every single flavor, because they sure have a wide selection). Walking home with a KIND bar in hand is so much more gratifying than walking home with an Auntie Anne's Pretzel.

I like that they have a lot of variety of foods. But it's much much pricier than other places. So if you can afford it it's a great place
