Chgapps Cafe

Chapps is a staple on this side of Arlington. I grew up coming here for dinner often. I love that they use Nolan Ryan beef, a delicious tribute to the Texas Rangers legend. The dining room is also decorated in tribute to Texas. The burgers are good, though the fries tend to be burnt. The philly cheesesteak was tasty, though a hit lacking in meat. I took a star off for service, which seems to have gone downhill over the years. The place wasn't busy when I arrived, but it still took a few minutes to be acknowledged and order at the front counter. My food took a while to come out, longer than expected for so few customers. Good restaurant, staff needs more training in customer service.

Made a rough morning so much better. Some days ya just need to hit the reset and try again. After a nasty encounter with a customer I had to do just that. Hungry mad and frustrated I went looking for lunch. I wasn't looking for a burger but boy did I find a great one. half lb mushroom burger overflowing with taste character and toppings. fries were a little overcooked for my taste but it didn't diminish the experience. yeah I will be back. Burger fries and a beverage for 15. a little pricey but if you compare to chain joints its only about 3 bucks more. well worth it.

I got the 1/2lb create your own burger, pepper jack with all the fixings added grilled mushrooms. That thing was amazing! It was an excellent burger and a lot patty for the price. And let me tell ya about those fries. Those thing are delicious! I only got the regular ones so I'm itching to try the others! Speaking of next time, hopefully it will be sooner rather than later!

I’ve been coming to Chapps burgers for several years and this is the last time I will ever come to this location or other locations I came in at about 5:50pm there was only 2 people in the dining area eating I had to take my food on the run so I ordered it to go Tell me why I ordered my food and then went to sit down and a whole crowd of people showed up a couple minutes later and they got their food first and totally disregarded me, I even left a tip that I wish I didn’t I hear them call my name after everyone else has received their food and I come up to the counter and I ask for the owners phone number and for the lady‘s name and she refuses to give me her name or the owners number, I explained the situation and her response was I called your name 3 times and you never came up. This is not true as I was sitting very close to the register where there is no way I wouldn’t of heard them calling my name This rubbed me the wrong way as a small business owner myself I would never treat my customer like this.. another thing I found very interesting was that no one at this building knows the owners information which I found strange told me to go on Google and look it up. Hopefully someone reaches out to me if not you will never get my business again and I’ll continue to share my experience.
