Definitely recommend this place. Tasty, fresh and beautifully prepared food. Surprisingly quite kid friendly for a place with such a modern vibe. Helpful and friendly waitstaff who made great recommendations and were attentive which is appreciated when kids are in the equation. Spacious restaurant with modern and appealing decor. Good selection of sushi and excellent choice of appetizers. Green tea was perfect. Recommend the Volcano roll, the Crab roll and the Peter roll. Definitely going back again! (A number of families with kids were there for 4pm dinner - safe bet before it got busy with young adults). They had lots of outdoor seating too but it wasn't busy so we sat inside.

Absolutely love this place! Food and drinks were delicious and creative. I really enjoyed all of the specials that were offered on top of the regular menu. You can have a delicious, reasonable meal or go all out and order dishes with 24K gold, caviar, truffles, etc. Service was impeccable, and I loved the vibe. Will definitely be going back.

A friend took me out to this place and yes the food took a while, but some things are worth the wait when they are done right and done well ESPECIALLY when we are talking about items for raw consumption. The atmosphere was great and our server Angie was absolutely phenomenal! I wish we had this restaurant where I live in GA, but hey, this is still completely worth the trip. The food was fresh and flavorful and while trying a variety of sushi can often become, on your taste buds, an amalgam of the same raw tinny fish taste, freshness counts so that you CAN taste the difference between them all and we DID! Loved this place.

I give a lot if 5 stars out but I only do because these places deserve it. Even if I try my best I can’t find anything wrong with them and even if there is something wrong with them then something is done by them that wins me over. Yume Sushi is one of those places. The vibe of this place is very hip and refreshing. You want to sit there even after you are done with your meal. The colorful atmosphere and ambiance is pretty decent. The service is courteous and suggestions are well thought of. My compliments to the amazing staff. The sushi is crisp and fresh. The Volcano Roll, the Mexican Roll and the Yume Roll all were simply delicious. The desserts were outstanding. The whole experience was simply one of the best. Places like Yume easily give fine sushi places like Nara-Ya a run for their money. 5 stars and well deserved 5 stars. I will definitely come again.

Been here multiple times both pre and during covid, my favorite place for omakase. Chef Peter is the man, always finding creative ways to elevate the omakase experience. Each course is made with attention to detail and servers are knowledgeable with explaining what and how to eat every dish. Drinks are also great, especially the house sake. Oh and the food is insanely good, I'm not sure if I made that clear enough. Worth scheduling an omakase with friends, will not disappoint!

My most fave sushi in DMV area. The foods are such fabulous and high quality. I just hate that whenever I go to other sushi places I always use Yume as the standard because they are just so good lol I used to dine in there at least twice a week and now on weekly basis. I recommend to try the special menu in the ipad (usually they don’t list the price but if you ask they will nicely tell you). They are very unique. One of the must-try is “the winner”

High quality, great presentation, friendly staff. So glad I found this place. Prices are reasonable. While the rolls are smaller than other places the quality makes up for it. Plus they will make custom rolls. I'll definitely be back.

TLDR: Elevated sushi experience using top tier ingredients and creative execution. Come for anything off the "special" menu. Vibe: 5/5. Yume embraces a modern chic atmosphere. Both inside and outside seating are available at several 4 top tables. They also have a rather large bar seating area perfect for happy hour or solo diners looking for a more personal omakase experience. Service: 5/5. From the hostess to the wait staff that was serving us, everyone at Yume was great! Our waiter did a great job explaining the large menu as well as making suggestions. Waters we're constantly full and settling the bill was a breeze. Food: 5/5. Disclaimer, this is not your traditional sushi experience. Yume prides itself in using over the top/lavish ingredients in it's sushi and it definitely makes it's mark. They do have your traditional sushi/nigiri options available, however the true experience is had within their special nightly menu. Most items on this menu consist of indulgent ingredients such as Hokkaido uni, A5 waygu, edible gold, fatty otoro etc. I strongly recommend dabbling with a few off this menu, even though prices range from $20-30 per small entree. On our visit we opted for 3 of these special dishes as well 2 more traditional offerings (sashimi platter, 6 maki rolls) and felt we struck a nice balance between being satisfied with the staples and being wowed with the specials.
