Stayed in the Arlington Shirlington area for about a week. Tried several restaurants in the area. DAK! Chicken, I only had the two appetizers (seasoned fries and pot stickers). The fries were excellent, but the pot stickers (goes well with the soy dressing)...let me put it to you like this...they were so good, I ordered another tray of pot stickers.
Crispy outside & tender inside! Best Korean Chicken I ever had in Virginia. Their draft beer and bottled beer selections were awesome! I will be bringing my co-workers and friends over soon. Ordered wings and fries. If you are looking for neat chicken & beer, this is the place!
Delicious flavors, extra crispy chicken and calamari sticks, and entrees so good we didn't want to stop eating! Perfect service too. Will definitely return!
Great Korean food and drinks in Arlington! We tried the frozen beer and Korean raspberry wine, and loved both. Their specialty, double fried chicken, is better than other versions I’ve tried and their fried calamari sticks are tender and perfect.
Parking garage is close by, so worth the drive if you’re not wishing waling distance in Alexandria or Arlington!
We went there FIRST TIME yesterday for our late lunch. I ordered Spicy Pork $17 and he ordered Bulgogi $16. We are all of them. He liked my plate better but I liked his plate better. The waitress is friendly and keeps us up as well.
This is my favorite place for chicken wings, coreans fry it twice so it's crispier and now the added a new flavor (sweet chili)🌶️🌶️🌶️so so good! Dak 🐥serve this wonderful fries🍟.
This older woman I know, her son owns the restaurant and the food is marvelous. The location is very urban and in a good spot. The ambience is tranquil and they play korean pop as well as football, so if you want to watch a sport while eating good food, enjoy !!!
Very flavorful dishes. Price is acceptable for what you get. A great spin on traditional Korean dishes mixed with American flair. Only down side is that I wish the tradiational Korean sides such as Kim chi came with the meal and not as add ons.
I ordered delivery from DAK Chicken. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki which came with salad and rice. It arrived well within a reasonable time and hot. And there was plenty of chicken and rice. The large container was, I would say, almost 2/3rd filled with chicken. The teriyaki sauce was in everything but that was okay. Teriyaki sauce goes amazingly well with salad.
The only issue I had was once you take away delivery fee, tax, and tip the dish still cost me $20.00. And for that I could have gotten two dishes or a dish and a couple of sides from any of the many Chinese or Italian delivery places. I think in the end you have to decide if the amount seen in the photo is worth almost $30 (depending on tip and where you live). I ordered via Doordash so your cost might vary.
Update - As you can see I got a interesting reply to my review. So I ordered again - this time on DAK own website. And they are right - the entree I ordered is, in fact, $15. Not $20. Doorbash added $5 dollars. Which means they also increases the taxes and the tip. WOW! And it IS the same dish. I took photo of the second delivery also. And DAK delivers well within the acceptable time and the driver was pretty nice. So five stars it is!
The chicken here is always delicious!! The sides and appetizers are great, and the new sweet chili sauce is so delicious!! And their milk teas are good, they have regular iced milk tea and slushy but the boba is a little different than I'm used to, a little more dense, and they don't yet have the non-milk slushy bubble tea - I eagerly await the day it makes it way into their menu! I gave it four stars because sometime the service is a little less attentive than I would hope.
