Sonic Drive-in

I would give this location 5 stars if they would allow ordering on the Sonic app. I've only successfully ordered one time the past year, and the rest of the time the functionality to order via app is down for this location in Ardmore. Food and service wise, I typically swing by in the morning on the way to work: always the same friendly young lady working the window, always yummy iced coffee, and a fresh, hot breakfast burrito.

I like Sonic for fast food. I have an egg allergy, so I find it difficult to eat out and fast food is the worst. I chose a grilled chicken sandwich without condiments. I don't think that the bun was safe to eat as I was sick after eating. Plan to go back to the burger for my next visit. On the plus side, our tater tots were hot and fresh!

I ordered a foot long chili cheese coney dog and chili cheese tots and they were cooked to order and really good. However, I downloaded their app after seeing the advertisement of getting a cheeseburger at half price when ordering through the app. Low and behold, when placing my order online, I received a message saying they were closed, though that was not the case. Actually, the app shuts down 1 hour before closing time and unfortunately I could not get it at half price.

The first kiosk we pulled into didn't have a working call button, the second did but the card reader didn't work. Those things can happen, not a big deal and luckily I had a little cash. We got two grilled cheese sandwiches and a large order of onion rings. The onion rings were great, 5 stars there. The grilled cheese sandwiches were the worst that we have ever eaten. They most certainly were not grilled, you could tell by the texture. Basically the grilled cheese was really 2 pieces of toast with cheese in the middle and was warmed in a microwave to melt the cheese. One star for the grilled cheese.
