My husband and I stopped in here with our 1.5 year old son to grab some dinner. We live a town over and just happened to be in town for an event and decided to eat dinner before heading home. The menu is your general country cooking: pot roast, fried fish, shrimp, hamburger steak, etc. We started off with an order of fried oysters, which were excellent. We were also served warm rolls among our arrival, which were great. A few minutes later I got my roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans, and gravy. The green beans were canned but tasty. The mashed potatoes were instant and bland. And the roast beef was just 2 slices of tough deli roast beef with gravy on it. It was well over 15 minutes when my husband and son’s meals came out. I don’t like eating before my son and husband, so I waited. My husband got the hamburger steak with fries and green beans. They brought out the hamburger steak with onion rings and fries. My husband told her he asked for green beans, and she says “oh, I wrote onion rings.” And he said, nicely, “I’m sorry, I did say green beans though.” And she said “okay, do you want onion rings?” And he said “I would like to have green beans because I was gonna give some to my son” and she said “so you want green beans too?” And he said yes. And she walked away and finally got the green beans. My son had no complaints. Lol he’s not a picky eater and devoured his fried catfish, macaroni salad, some green beans, and baked apples. We had to go to the counter for a sweet tea refill, boxes, and ketchup throughout the meal because the server wouldn’t come to the table. She was friendly but not very efficient for sure. The 6 piece fried oysters, 2 sweet teas, a kids meal, and 2 dinners was all under $50, so the price was pretty good. Overall I doubt we’ll come back if we’re in the area, but it definitely left us fed with large portions and a decent price. ETA: The bread basket had a couple napkins in it with the bread on top, and the basket underneath was caked in food debris and dust/whatever else. It was pretty unsanitary.

Good restaurant with great home cooking. We had 1 roast beef baked potatoes and collard greens; 2 seafood platter (see photo of menu for prices and what the platter has), 3 cherry pie. Everything was good. Platter was big enough.

My spouse had the pulled pork special and I had the fried flounder. Portion sizes were good, service was quick & friendly and price was reasonable. This is a small town restaurant, a little dated but clean and you get what you pay for. We stop by whenever we are passing through and never had a bad experience. I had not tried their rice pudding until today but will definitely be ordering it again.

I took my Grandma 5 years ago and didn't have a great experience, but thought we'd try it again upon visiting the area recently. On a Friday night, we originally chose Mexican, but it was overly crowded so we decided to go here. There was parking right out front, which is more convenient for our toddler. We noticed they have a salad bar, which we didn't try. I looked up the menu before we arrived so there was no wasted time in ordering. I selected the Granny Bee's Special which is a 6 oz ribeye steak with grilled shrimp. Online the price is $17.95. Be advised they've raised the price to $19.99. My two sides were a baked potato and green beans. My husband ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and green beans and we ordered a grilled cheese for our son, which was not on the dinner menu. You get rolls with your meal. It came out steaming. My husband didn't care for the bread, but I thought it was good (I don't usually eat bread so that might color my perception). Service was incredibly fast. I've never seen such a thin steak in my life, but steaks come in a variety of thickness and the flavor was acceptable and so was the texture. The shrimp were smaller, but I was impressed by the flavoring. The potato had plentiful butter and sour cream and the beans tasted homemade. All in all, I enjoyed my meal. My husband did too, although the mashed potatoes seemed instant to him. Honestly, I've never been in an affordable country restaurant that had real mashed potatoes, so that wasn't a shock. They have real iced tea, while some country restaurants serve instant (please ask and never accept instant). There is a very cute child's drawing framed on the wall I'd love to buy if it were for sale. UPDATE: We went back for breakfast. Variety, orders, and service were winners for us.

Granny Bee's is a fantastic restaurant, where the locals eat. You can't beat the customer service, they are happy always have a smile for you. The portions are great and full of flavor. If your child orders pancakes, get just one to start "they are the size of a dinner plate. Would highly recommend finding this place and eating there.

they don’t do catering or takeout first off. but i went with a really really good friend of mine and we thought the food was mediocre at best the strawberry bagel was not up to par but the country boy special was pretty good (surprisingly!!) the coffee is no dunkin’ donuts but it alright with some cream and sugar :) the people or person you eat it with makes a big difference so make sure you chose your guest(s) wisely (i know i did!) it’s a nice hole in the wall restaurant a great family atmosphere they were even playing some country tunes which made me feel at home 🏠

On a business trip, decided to try here, it looked like a good place for lunch. They were busy, but not slammed. My coworker and I sat down in a booth and weren't even acknowledged. We waited approximately 5 minutes and still nobody even acknowledged we were there or even said they'd be right with us. A couple that came in right after us got served right away. The servers all looked at us knew we were there. We got up and left. I would not recommend this place unless you're a regular.

I decided to try out the steak and eggs. The steak was a 6oz ribeye that I ordered medium rare. 6oz ribeyes are usually pretty thin as was this one but they nailed on the temperature!! Most of the time when I get a thin steak it's way over cooked. This one was perfect!! The gravy was thick and tasty with chunks of sausage cut up in it. The pancakes were thick as well with those crispy golden brown edges! They only had 2 waitresses on a Sunday after church and those ladies were awesome and on top of everything!! The owner came by our table and check in on things which made you feel at home! If you're ever in the area and hungry check Granny Bee's out!
