Great Sushi there! I took a dinner with my friend tonight at this place. We had three sushi rolls together + got soup and side salad and we paid only 20 something bucks! No wonder this place is always full of people. Sea eel is amazing there!
Oh yeah. Really good place. Been in the US for a week now and finally ate proper healthy and tasty food. Ordered udon with shrimps. Staff very friendly. Really thumbs up!
This is my favorite place to eat sushi in Ann Arbor! It's a small space and doesn't get quite the hype that Totoro does, but that only makes it an overlooked gem. The servers are friendly and tend to you quite well. The sushi itself comes out quickly and is always very delicious. I recommend getting the 911 roll if you can handle a little bit of spice. In the summer I recommend calling ahead of time to make sure they are open because sometimes their listed as open online when they're closed for the day.
The sushi here is the best in Ann Arbor. It is always fresh. Waitstaff are usually pretty prompt, and always do as you request. Atmosphere is great; quiet and relaxing. I've been coming here for years and have always been satisfied. I have tried every other sushi place in Ann Arbor as well, and have not had as good ingredients or as fresh sushi as I've had here. Great prices too!
My girlfriend and I love this place. Not only great sushi, but plenty of it (and small complimentary soup / salad to boot!). Excellent variety of rolls to choose from, and bento and teriyaki too. I'm no suishi connoisseur, but here's my take: 1. It's sufficiently delicious that I wouldn't mind going back every week; 2. It's priced well enough that I actually might. Quality sushi, no special occasion required.
The best sushi on South U, if that's what you're looking for look no further. The restaurant is small and has an intimate atmosphere, and the service is great to match.
The soups are a little underwhelming if you get the plain ones, so be sure to skip the basic soba or udon if that's what you're thinking and get one of the busier ones.
The other Japanese fare is good but not best, don't feel bad about ordering it.
The service in the early evening was very good and the food showed up fairly quick.
The salmon and white tuna Nigiri were both tried and both were very good. The katsu curry was good as well but far spicier than expected, closer to an Indian medium spice than what I would expect a Japanese curry to be.
Overall the amount if food was about an expected American portion, in other words very filling. The price was fair as well.
Best sushi I have found in the Ann Arbor area. They have nice rolls (including salmon skin) and great variety. The staff is also very friendly and the prices are fair.
