I came to Zola's specifically on this visit to "formally" review it, as I've been there 3-4 times previously and wanted to give it a fair chance. Unfortunately this visit did not help. A solid star just for the outstanding sweet potato fries and housemade ketchup, as they are delicious and also a reason I came back. I felt bad for the server who was obviously overtasked but at the end of the day, when I am paying almost $20 for crab cakes, I'd like them to come with the paprika aioili and citrus chutney as described (or, you know, anything aside from limp, undressed greens). They came dry without either and when asked, I got brought back a container of tartar sauce. To their credit they at least took those off the bill. At the end of the day, every lunch I've been here visiting solo has taken easily 1.5-2 hours because the service is so slow. Sadly this will definitely be my last visit.

My friends and I stopped here for brunch after hanging out in a hot tub. There were nothing but great vibes. It was slightly busy around 11 am but not too crowded during a pandemic. They accommodated our request not to sit by the door which is my preference wherever I go. Everyone enjoyed their food. We ordered quite a few items from the menu. I had the Smoked salmon omelette and potatoes with steak on the side. All of my food was delicious. We ordered the large crepe and waffles as our appetizer. It was a great experience. I will add that they should add turkey or beef breakfast meat options. But the steak was perfect!

Update: After two bad experiences. Decided Not going here anymore. Very bad service. Zero courteous, rolling eyes. Have to ask everything five times.. won't check on you.. have to flag other waiters to get help. One just said I will let your server know, but never did . Not sure if the issue is with the management keeping the employees unhappy.. or the employees itself. Very bad.. food is secondary.. for a "premium" $$$ restaurant. This is really bad. ——— Old review Much Better than the cafe Zola! Amazing breakfast, unique selection, inviting ambience but subpar service (probably she was having a bad day). Came here for a breakfast with my mom for a special occasion. Was greeted well and sat in near the window. The trendy floor to the ceiling bar and the wall decor was eye catching. So we ordered Cafe mocha - Nice (usual Taste) but very cold. Shakshuka - A tomato and egg based pot. A dish to just drive for.. Amazing, flavorful, tasty, filling. got it with fully cooked eggs. Served with a toast and butter. Vegetable latkes - simple and unique.. sweet potato passed patties.. slight crisp to the outside but soft inside. Served with salmon or cinnamon apples. I got the apples.. super light. not filling.. Huevos rancheros- Awesome, flavorful.... wish we had little more 😉. So,, the service.. the greater was nice. The girl who was serving us. Literally frowned when we called her back and requested/changed no whip cream on the coffee. As she was walking away after we placed the order.. was very uncomfortable asking her anything after.. They have plenty of parking right out.. free. if you driving from the east, it’s not very prominent, enter the complex when you see lululemon.. it’s tucked back in..

This spot had so many versatile options from different cuisines that it was difficult to make a decision! The challah bread French toast was great. However, the Frittata Zola was mediocre since the croutons were a bit soft and the sweet potatoes were hard and unseasoned (I’d recommend hot sauce on it to spice it up). I would try this spot again for lunch.

As someone who worked in the service industry, I’m empathetic towards an overwhelmed/busy staff. However that is absolutely not the case with Zola Bistro. I went there today (3/27) w/ a few people to celebrate a birthday (4 people total). We had a reservation for 12:30, a couple of us showed up early to set up. We were greeted by an incredibly rude hostess who scolded us for being 10 minutes ahead of time. It wasn’t like it was wall to wall w/ people desperately clawing for brunch, the entire front area was open. So, I sincerely apologize to the incompetent host for overwhelming you with a 4 top. Also, i apologizing for asking where the restroom was. I’m sure that was stressful/hard for you to answer while you were standing there ignoring calls :/ Today was my third visit to Cafe Zola & the other two experiences were no different. To whoever the hiring manager is, do better with who you’re selecting to represent/run a small business. For those of you looking for a brunch place, don’t worry ! If the high prices for mediocre food were already deterring you, the inattentive waitstaff should add to it as well. Don’t go here ! <3 the McDonald’s a half mile away or the Whole Foods across the street will be a much better experience

The fifth star isn’t coming. Not soon. Paid $20 for one meal (spaghetti) and then another $20 ish dollars for salmon. Partner says the salmon is incredible. Best he’s ever had. Spaghetti was quite nice. But the portions are extremely small for such high prices. Unsure if I’ll come back. But worth one visit.

What is going on here? This place couldn't be further from the location downtown. Went here yesterday, had a 20 minute wait. Waited and shopped in the plaza. Wait took over 30 minutes, which is fine. We got seated, and it took at least 20 minutes for our server to come over. Ordered coffees and bread, and the bread order came out incorrectly (wasn't even a difficult order), and the coffees came out cold and late. Putting in our food order took another 30 minutes, and the food took an hour to come out. The food was prepared well, but the portions were laughably small, smaller than the last time we came. I'm not that difficult to please (look at my other reviews if you don't believe me) but Zola Bistro is unacceptably bad. We will not be returning. A late breakfast should not take 2 hours.
