Kum & Go

Tried to get something to drink but my card was declined. Twice. Then a different card. Tried the atm and same. So I left thinking there was an issue with my card. Drove all the way to Ankeny to my bank's ATM. Worked fine. Got gas and drinks at a gas station there with no issues. So 2 hours of my life wasted and 50 unnecessary miles on my vehicle and it wasn't even my card. It was their system. On the positive side, gas was 70 cents cheaper in Ankeny so that kind of makes up for it I guess.

Came in for few drinks. Cashier was busy on his phone to notice me for about 5 to 10 seconds. Ringed me up. Then went back on his phone as I patiently waited for him to hit the credit card pay so I could pay for my drinks. 10 seconds went by then he looked up from his phone and says (oh paying with card?). I said yes. He proceeded to tell me I should have spoke up. First I should not have to speak up he should been off his phone during work hours and specially since there was customers in. Second he should have asked me how I was gonna pay not tell me I should have spoke up when I was waiting patiently for him to even notice I was standing there. This was on 04/28/2021 at 10:25 pm. I won't ever stop there again. Also would like to make sure that the store manager knows and corporate office. Me and everyone else that comes in there works to hard for there money and if were gonna spend the money we worked hard for at a place the least we want is good customer service.

Nooooooo you changed to the button fountain pop machine. Im a diet coke guru and it does NOT taste the same. No button machine anywhere tastes as good as the prior ones. There is a different in all the pop types. Not an improvement but I know it looks cool but yuck. Love the discounts on my member card and your breakfast pizza is awesome. The older lady in the kitchen at the east ames iowa location is super nice and helpful. Always keeps everything stocked. She jumps in and helps at the register when there is a line. She's a keeper. I go there all the time.

We stopped at this Kum & Go, Aug. 28th just before noon. Just as one of the other reviewers said, it's almost like the clerks despise having to wait on you. They treat you as if you're a nuisance, so rude they make you feel so unwelcome. This place definitely needs to be under new management who can emphasize customer service and courtesy to customers. We won't make the mistake of purchasing here again. What a stain on Kum & Go's reputation!

They advertise at 2.69 per gallon, but this is for their “super unleaded” which after asking the clerk the difference he said there is more ethanol added. They charge over 3$ per gallon for regular, not premium, regular. I was surprised at how rudely this was explained to us. Of course it is a gas station, but with training employees they can train some customer service. Also, they need to seriously work on the cleanliness of the entire store. Starting with the bathrooms.

I stopped for gas and went along my way when 3 hours of travel later I realized I lost my wallet. I wasn’t sure where so I called all of my stops along the way and Neil at this location was very kind and sympathetic. He took my information down, checked their location and parking lot for my wallet and called me back to let me know. My wallet wasn’t there but I feel reassured that if it turns up, the workers will call to let me know. Thank you for that reassurance Neil!
