Don’t come here looking for small portions and having low expectations. Slopes will have you and your stomach beat. Food served with the utmost southern hospitality the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile and an open menu. You won’t hesitate long as you’re sure to find something to your liking. Home cooked meal away from home is all you need to call this place your new favorite spot. My long searched for favorite for southern sweet tea, pulled pork, greens and their very special blackberry cobbler. Definitely will be back

I drive from Canton to eat here once every couple of weeks. This is the best barbecue place around. It will remind you of the 80s and 90s when it was a simpler time. The staff is always very nice and friendly and if you are a regular they will call you by name and already know what you want to order. Food is fresh no matter what you get and overall just a wonderful experience. It is kind of hidden away from the road

I ordered the large pork bbq sandwich special with two sides, and a half slab of ribs. The sandwich was generous with the pulled pork, but I found three large white chunks of what seemed like a pig joint. Definitely not edible, and had no reason being in the sandwich. The half slab of ribs were perfectly done, great sauce, but it was the first time I have been served ribs with the membrane still attached. Not the best way to serve them as the membrane was falling off the bone, and not something I wanted to eat. The beans had a great flavor, but a good bbq restaurant usually puts some pork in the beans to add flavor, not here. So while I was a real fan of Slopes when they first opened this location, now not worthy of a repeat visit.
