My favorite at this place is a cheeseburger with a side of curly fries. I have had their po-boys. They are pretty good, but I am not a huge of the pressed shrimp. The broasted chicken is good too
Food, great. Service, meh.. The fried shrimp po' boy was excellent. Other menu items included broasted chicken, burgers, and catfish.
The atmosphere is casual. There was a Christmas tree decorated in red, white and blue for the Fourth of July. There's lots of seating. There's a counter, where your order is taken. Food is brought to your table.
Service was efficient--civil, not friendly.
Great food & friendly service!. Order lunch from here once a week to get the dressed beef poboy and love it!! My coworkers get BBQ beef poboys and broasted chicken which I've tasted and are also very good.
The employees are very friendly as well. Especially the lady at the counter who is always really sweet.
We have placed dozens of orders at Lou and Laura's and never once have they made a mistake!! Hard to say that about most places.
The chicken here is something serious, they are not messing around! Love the mom&pop feel in the middle of the corporate world on Jackson St.

Yummy!. First off, as I walked into this eating establishment I noticed it was a such a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Immediately liked it! The customer service was great from the cute cashier. I ordered a beef poboy with a side of curly fries. My friend who was with me ordered the cheeseburger. It was absolutely delicious. I would reccommended this to my other friends, and any one else! I will definitely be returning as for this was a good bang for your buck!!

The best chicken in town!. FIVE STARS!!! the way this chicken is cooked is so unique and seems so much healthier, they call it "broasted". it's seasoned to perfection and always succulent and juicy. the breasts are very large, extremely generous in portion. the legs have plenty of meat on them. you really cant go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu. the fries are great as well. comfort food at its finest. the little red headed boy is extra helpful if you have any questions.
Worth a Try. Got the BBQ Beef Poboy, a bit on the small side but very tasty covered in a spicy BBQ Sauce. My wife said her burger was homemade and delicious. Curly fries were very good. Would definitely return.
Lou and Lauras has been in business here for over forty years. That in itself should pay tribute to the quality of their food. Take the shrimp poboys. The shrimp are fried to perfection along with the fries. Add draft root beer in a frosted mug and you're about as close to heaven as you're gonna get here on earth. They serve fried chicken rumored to have, in their youth, shamed the chicken they serve at popeyes and churches into switching schools, which is why both these locations opted to set up shop a healthy distance away. Simply put, this family restaraunt is a perfect example of quality, inexpensive, southern cooking.
Cheeseburger-boy. Good old fashion Southern hamburgers and Q's. The "dash boy" means a sandwich on a poboy bun with lots of goo and squish. This is a many napkin meal. Excellent. In the main, when in town, we eat here the most.
Have been eating here since I was a teenager. Came in from Baton Rouge and this was a must on my list. Did not disappoint at all. Same consistent wonderful food and service!

This is the second time I have eaten there and it is a great little family restaurant. I had the shrimp basket and they were delicious. I love going to places like this.
We got the cheeseburger boy and it was really good. I do smoked meats for myself and customers and I have to admit that this is a really good place to eat

This is MY ace in the hole. My 14 carat Gold chicken spot. The Fried Chicken AIN'T CHEAP but it's DELICIOUS!!! If you're like me...tell em to Make it Crispy. BOTH versions are GREAT though. 👍
Excellent Broasted Chicken. Plenty of other options available for those for something else like the Pressed Poboys. Local, family, friendly dining. Always a good choice for a snack or full meal.
