This place is atrocious. I got 2 shrimp baskets on January 15th, for dinner. It was by far the worst thing I have ever been served out of any kind of eating establishment. I wouldn't feed Lou &Laura's to a wild hog. If you have just one taste bud left.....do not waste it, nor your money on this rancid, nasty so called food.

This is MY ace in the hole. My 14 carat Gold chicken spot. The Fried Chicken AIN'T CHEAP but it's DELICIOUS!!! If you're like me...tell em to Make it Crispy. BOTH versions are GREAT though. 👍

Excellent Broasted Chicken. Plenty of other options available for those for something else like the Pressed Poboys. Local, family, friendly dining. Always a good choice for a snack or full meal.

My favorite at this place is a cheeseburger with a side of curly fries. I have had their po-boys. They are pretty good, but I am not a huge of the pressed shrimp. The broasted chicken is good too

Stopped in on our way to NOLA. Great friendly service! Hubby had the Fried Shrimp PoBoy, I had Broasted Chicken Breast and the kids had Fried Shrimp and Broasted Chicken Tenders. Great portions for the price. Small and clean.

Food, great. Service, meh.. The fried shrimp po' boy was excellent. Other menu items included broasted chicken, burgers, and catfish.<br/><br/>The atmosphere is casual. There was a Christmas tree decorated in red, white and blue for the Fourth of July. There's lots of seating. There's a counter, where your order is taken. Food is brought to your table.<br/><br/>Service was efficient--civil, not friendly.

Best Broasted Chicken. I've eaten a lot of fried chicken in my life and it was at Lou and Laura's that I have first tried broasted chicken. After having it, I've never looked at fried chicken the same way again. I miss you Lou and Laura's! I do not like po-boys but your broasted chicken is pure awesome!

Great food & friendly service!. Order lunch from here once a week to get the dressed beef poboy and love it!! My coworkers get BBQ beef poboys and broasted chicken which I've tasted and are also very good. <br/>The employees are very friendly as well. Especially the lady at the counter who is always really sweet. <br/>We have placed dozens of orders at Lou and Laura's and never once have they made a mistake!! Hard to say that about most places.

A Disgrace!. My husband and I went here after seeing good things on urbanspoon for it, BIG mistake. I ordered a fish po-boy and after finding 3 bones in it, complained to the woman working there. She took the bones from me (they were put on a napkin) and told me to be more careful next time. Needless to say, I stopped eating it and haven't been back.

WHATS THE DEAL WITH THE SHRIMP?!!!!. Being born and raised in south La. I was blown away by this place and not in a good way.When you see a sign saying po-boys anywhere in La. you can get real shrimp but I don't know what these round,flat things were.How does this place get any stars is beyond me.

I recently ate here and I must say... Stay away from the "shrimp" po boys. Mine was not even made with real shrimp but was over processed, low quality "shrimp" patties. Disgusting! But the broasted chicken was pretty good.

Yummy!. First off, as I walked into this eating establishment I noticed it was a such a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Immediately liked it! The customer service was great from the cute cashier. I ordered a beef poboy with a side of curly fries. My friend who was with me ordered the cheeseburger. It was absolutely delicious. I would reccommended this to my other friends, and any one else! I will definitely be returning as for this was a good bang for your buck!!

The best chicken in town!. FIVE STARS!!! the way this chicken is cooked is so unique and seems so much healthier, they call it "broasted". it's seasoned to perfection and always succulent and juicy. the breasts are very large, extremely generous in portion. the legs have plenty of meat on them. you really cant go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu. the fries are great as well. comfort food at its finest. the little red headed boy is extra helpful if you have any questions.

LOVE IT!. I recently discovered this joint. i have no idea why i've never gone there before but im sure glad i did. not only were the subs delicious but the service was excellent. especially the nice gentleman that took our order. he was very friendly and funny. definitely will go back and try other things on the menu

Worth a Try. Got the BBQ Beef Poboy, a bit on the small side but very tasty covered in a spicy BBQ Sauce. My wife said her burger was homemade and delicious. Curly fries were very good. Would definitely return.

Lou and Lauras has been in business here for over forty years. That in itself should pay tribute to the quality of their food. Take the shrimp poboys. The shrimp are fried to perfection along with the fries. Add draft root beer in a frosted mug and you're about as close to heaven as you're gonna get here on earth. They serve fried chicken rumored to have, in their youth, shamed the chicken they serve at popeyes and churches into switching schools, which is why both these locations opted to set up shop a healthy distance away. Simply put, this family restaraunt is a perfect example of quality, inexpensive, southern cooking.

Cheeseburger-boy. Good old fashion Southern hamburgers and Q's. The "dash boy" means a sandwich on a poboy bun with lots of goo and squish. This is a many napkin meal. Excellent. In the main, when in town, we eat here the most.

Shrimp Poboys. Lou and Laura no longer run it, but the current owners haven't changed anything. Still good food! I'm partial to the shrimp po-boys w/ curly q's.
