This is my second time having a bad experience from this restaurant the first time I did not order because I didn’t like the customer service from the main the main seem like they look down on women also I am a authority figure in my career so I go there with my uniform on I don’t think these men like that that’s just my personal opinion. However today I order food from here from Uber to pick up I ordered Joloff with goat they gave me beef. I even called so make sure that they had goats because I have allergic reactions to beef before they told me I did not pay for goats I said I paid online they said oh OK that time they could’ve just said you have to pay extra the app will not allow you to pay the difference you don’t just take it upon yourself to give me beef what type of establishment are you wanting I guess if it was a white person it would be OK but because they feel like I am poor like them they give me anything I am going to forever right post about this restaurant and take whatever precautions I need to have them shut down even the best that they gave me is very dry it out and obviously from the day before.

My husband and I were on vacation in Virginia. Found this place. Ordered several dishes. The food was amazing overall, and the portions were large. Well worth the price. Only complaint was large jollof rice, but very few pieces of meat and meat was dry over cooked. Will definitely return to the restaurant. Friendly gentlemen serving the food.

This was my second time eating from here because my first experience with the food was fine. I ordered two different items and one appetizer. The presentation was horrible, I mean down to the way the fufu was wrapped. The stew/sauce I ordered was incorrect (always check your food before you walk out). The food tasted old and the meat/fish looked and tasted old/dried out. The Jellof Rice was tasteless and the supposedly Egusi soup tasted burnt and just disgusting. Lastly, I ordered fried plantains- it was not the best tasting, mushy and was thrown on top of my rice which I didn't ask for. I am not expecting a refund back after such an experience but they definitely lost a loyal customer. I traveled from DC to eat here but never, ever again. I would suggest that you get someone with a little bit more customer service at the register. Keep the dining area clean and free of trash. And, leftover dishes from customer cleaned up right away not sitting for everyone to see when walking in. I would rate my first experience 3/5 and the second 1/5.

I have been coming to this location for about 3 years now, but today will be the last day. About 3 years ago, the brother to the manager added $5 to my balance and swiped my card without my consent. When I inquire, he said it was tip. I allowed that to pass. Today, while making payments, the girl asked for tip, and I told her no. I give tips, but it's wrong if they ask for it. Probably, this is why they make you pay before service. I get home and for the first time in ordering beans and fried plantain, I found out that there is no meat and fish which goes with it, the other 3 dishes were OK. Because of tip, they render bad customers service. If the management of the organization wants to deal with it, then customers have to pay after service so that the staffs are not focused on getting tips and focus on giving good service which will then make the customers happy and they give more tips.

My wife ordered two meals with grilled Tilapia on Uber Eats. Both meals were delivered with fried fish instead of the tilapia. She paid extra on the Uber app for the tilapia. When she called the restaurant to inquire about why she received the wrong order she was told that “she didn’t pay enough for the tilapia and was therefore given fried fish”. No refund or apology was given and the person that answered the phone was rude. The rest of the food was not very tasty either.
