Johnny Mac's Rib Shack

Looks like an ice cream stand, but they serve more than burgers & shakes. My son inhaled 2 chili dogs and then after coming up for air told me how great they were. I went with a fish sandwich; they use regular bread instead of a roll or bun (white or wheat, toasted or not). The wait seemed a bit long but the food was hot, fresh and satisfying.

Drove past this place and knew it was going to be a great experience. We got a few chilli dogs, chilli half smoke, burger, onion rings, greens, bbq beans, and some ice cream (cotton candy, pina colada, green apple, and butter pecan). Only gripe is that the large onion rings were lacking in size. That said it was the right amount so when we go back will be getting small. Ice cream wasn't to my taste but the rest of the family loved them. The staff was amazing, detailed, and quick. Granted there weren't many people in the shop when we went (~4PM on Friday) but for the complaints that I've seen in other reviews I'd have to assume they're just impatient people and won't be happy anywhere. Go check this place out!

Went here for the first time and ordered mac & cheese, half smoke w/ chili cheese, hamburger, hotdog, rib sandwich (turned out to be a rib order), vanilla sundae, and chocolate shake. The ice cream was pretty good but the food was unimpressive. The cheese in the mac & cheese was chunky and noodles were over cooked. Half smoke was fine, but not packed with flavor like I was hoping. Hamburger was ok, but could use some seasoning. I ordered a rib sandwich, but received only ribs. The ribs were pretty bland even with bbq sauce and I was not impressed at all. Overall, I would stop by again for ice cream if I was in the area but would leave the food for another location. I'd love to hear that the food has improved in the future and give it another shot then. I will admit the place stayed busy while there, so somethings going right here.

Ordered food for my daughter and I for dinner, we got the food home and when my daughter bit into her burger, it was pink inside. We also had fries and a North Carolina style barbecue sandwich and all of the food was HORRIBLE. The fries were soggy and undercooked and the barbecue sandwich was dried out terribly. Seems as though the food has changed since ownership changed. This was a complete waste of money for food that I wouldn’t allow my dog to eat. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

This place is cute and was recommended to us by our neighbor. It could definitely use a makeover. First off, wayyyyyy too many items on the menu. How in the world can you be “good” at that many things! We ordered the bbq pork sandwich, beans, Mac and cheese and hot dogs. The bbq wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. I hate to say it but it was so bland. The hot dogs left much to be desired. The mac and cheese was so over cooked the noodles were mush. The whole cup was just a cheese/noodle bland mush cup. Wasn’t even edible!! Overall this could be a super cute spot but it needs some help. Knock half the menu off and focus on the few items you have vs having 100+ things on the menu and subpar taste. Just my opinion though.

Jaime S. be nicer..! These girls do a great job taking orders, prepping food, and serving with a happy and friendly attitude. I’ve had their yummy cheeseburgers, fish sandwiches, and cheesesteak combos. The food is prepared fresh, hot, and tasty! Please remember to save room for the delicious variety of soft serve ice cream that includes sundays, banana splits and milkshakes!!
