Pho Kim Restaurant

I had never ordered Pho until last night and while the food that we got was yummy, it was a negative experience. We ordered three chicken pho dishes, fried egg rolls and a smoothie. Door Dash delivered. We only got one chicken pho dish and the other items. I ran out into the rain to catch the door dash guy and he went back. Another 30 minutes passed before we got our food.....the WRONG food. Some dish with brown meat (that looked gross and I would not eat), rice and "salad"...two of those. No chicken pho. When we called to complain, the guy answering the phone could not seem to care less; he was too busy complaining about how busy they were. He said the Door Dash driver could not find our order, and apparently, the guy at the restaurant had no way to find our order either. We never got our proper food (threw away the other food we didn't order) and the guy at Pho offered no refund or anything. I won't go back because of this experience. $73 down the drain. Expensive (I mean, chicken broth, rice noodles and a few pieces of chicken for $14???? Crazy) AND poor service.

Been sporadically going here for 12yrs now. At first I didn't like it (having only gotten the chicken Pho which isn't very good here). Then I discovered the "Beef Stew" which is downright awesome! Big chunks of pot-roast type beef...noodles more like spaghetti than rice noodles. Of course the "eggrolls" are both fantastic and NOT like a Chinese egg roll. And the grilled pork is fantastic. In the past 2yrs they added bahn-mi sandwiches and they are great! Not as good as what you find in Annandale or Eden Center, but still a damn fine approximation for around here. Today I tried the soup that has a peanut based broth/eye of round beef. Best soup they offer!! The broth is outstanding - multiple levels of flavor.

Terrible experience as soon as I walked in the door. No friendly greeting, asked are you eating here or taking out. I responded I'm eating here. I was told "well then go sit down" 😳 I was shocked how rude these people were. I thought maybe he's having a bad day. Nope the same type of energy came from the server as well. I asked for the veggie beef soup. She argued with me that there was no such thing until I pointed it out on the menu. Honestly at this point I was rethinking EATING ANYTHING FROM HERE! Overall I would NOT RECOMMEND Pho Kim to ANYONE!
