Sentry Grill

4-22-22 came for lunch for the 1st time. I always wanted to come here but never had the time. The food that I had: roast beef with potato salad was okay. The roast beef seemed like it was something packaged in teriyaki sauce that was served--it didn't taste like anything the cafe took pride in serving customers. The same goes for the brown gravy that was just probably a powder mix, too. Maybe I should have just ordered some sort of burger for the late lunch at 1ish. One-and-done for me. Maybe my expectations were too high, especially since my dinner guest and I were supposed to try another restaurant in the area (but it was closed because of John's birtday). It is what it is. The folks seem nice here, though..I will credit them for that.

food is great and the server is the same one that's been there for years so the consistency of the service is always the same and did I mention the food is fantastic I love the server she's amazing and the price is definitely affordable my go-to spot for a great cheeseburger the decor could use a little bit of updating but I think that's the hometown vibe that they're going for it doesn't look like it's been changed much since the 50s but everything else is excellent definitely one of the best breakfast places in burger places in Alexandria unfortunately the hours are not always available and only breakfast and lunch is served they close so early

The same server that has been there for you always welcome you and that's always nice to see such a familiar face the food is always amazing the consistency of that is definitely a plus in the food industry they give you that hometown five that makes you feel welcome and comfortable and the prices are definitely affordable and did I say or failed to mentioned that the food is always amazing definitely my go-to spot for cheeseburgers now other than the decor which is completely outdated but I think that may be part of the vibe but they're going for it
