We happened to passed by and noticed this quaint strip of restaurants. We ordered Black Forest ham sandwich & Grilled Steak Sandwich with Butternut Squash soup. All the sandwiches are really good and not salty! Will come back to try their other offerings.

I had a really pleasant experience. They had a quick turn around time and the staff was very friendly. I tried the Baked Chicken Breast Parmesan they had as a special that day and it was amazing ! We also tried the Grilled Steak Sandwich and it also did not disappoint. I would recommend anyone to try and I will definitely be returning.

Highly recommended! Happened in for lunch on the way to Mt. Vernon. The owner is great and you can tell he loves to cook. Between the four of us we had the chicken and sausage gumbo with rice, homemade Alfredo, split pea soup, corn casserole and smoked chicken club. All were fantastic. Some of the best gumbo. I have had. The kids flipped over the alfredo. It was the owner’s recipe and again was some of the best I have eaten.

I ordered the French dip sandwich (a special that day) and hubby had the Cajun chicken wrap with the cinnamon squash soup. Both were terrific! The bread on the French dip was perfect for, well, dipping and the dip itself was full of flavor. Hubs couldn’t stop talking about how good his wrap was. We didn’t leave a crumb.

The food is very good. My husband enjoyed his special Danish meatballs on election night and I enjoyed my walnut and blue cheese salad topped with large grilled shrimp. I would prefer they use a spring mix of greens for their salad or at least romaine, instead of iceberg, and since it's solely a carryout, can you leave the dressings on the side so the lettuce doesn't get wilted before I get home please? Otherwise, the food is delicious, (so Via Venuto, you have a competitor with this place!)
