Subs & Such

Subs and Such used to be so good (at least 2+ years ago. Things were much different then. We waited over 20 minutes for one sub. It was not busy and there were several (6+) workers. When we finally got the sub, it had been steamed way too long. The bread was like mush. I brought it back and asked for a different one, this time cold. After another 10 minute wait, I went up to see what was taking so long. They said it still had time in the steamer! At that point, we were out of time so I asked for a refund. To there credit they refunded the price of the sub. They were all very nice, but maybe just new and still training? I hope things improve because this used to be one of my favorite sub shops. Not any more...

I am a hiker and would buy sandwiches here on Saturdays for my Sunday hikes in the Smokies. This is my first hike of the season and today I opened my order and this is what I encountered. Such small portions and this is even a bigger sub then I would normally order. Also missing the toppings that I ordered. Half a slice of thinly sliced cheese and only half a cup of tuna salad spread over a 6 inch sub, seriously? I got more portions and cheese when I would order the child size previously. I miss the original owners. Shame on the new owners for ruining a wonderful business. If I wanted shrinking portions and higher prices I would have gone to Panera or Subway.

TERRIBLE!! 🤢We went there for the 1st time today and got a philly cheese sandwich. The bread was so wet it was like dough.. there was about a tablespoon of wet,soggy, completely flavorless meat ,the peppers and onions were not cooked but instead crunchy ! And there was suposed to be mayo on it and wasnt ..was also packed with soggy tomatoes/ lettuce that i DID NOT ask for! ..dinner was a total bummer! Dont waist your money..PLEASE!

Tell the kid behind the counter to stop playing with his sunglasses while interacting with customers. Take them off, put them on, take them off, put them on. While taking orders and refilling drinks. Sunglasses shouldn't be worn while working. Obviously not prescription. Unprofessional. Thankful I got to interact with someone else. And after getting home with my $40.80 worth of 1 12 inch, 1 6 inch, 1 small salad, 1 large salad. I had to cut my own veggies in my salad, no almonds, no crackers, no croutons. More bread and lettuce than actual meat. There was more cheese than there was salad. This place has went way down hill. I'd advise pick some other sandwich place. Over priced here and not worth the money. Next time I want a sandwich I'll just go to the store, I'll spend less and get more for my money.

No longer recommend! This use to be a great place that WAS locally owned. It is no longer locally owned and the new management is destroying what was a great sub shop! They skimp on the meat, the workers are no longer happy, the subs are horrible like they have changed vendors, you can only order three toppings on your sub now, only two sizes to order from, the bread is not as fresh, got rid of large sweet tea.. I could go on. The new owners have no idea how to keep customers happy. It wasn't broken before you bought but by God you have broke it now! You should be ashamed ruining a local business like you have.

Had to go give my favorite sandwich shop a try since all I've heard was negative reviews since the new owners took over. I went today and ordered a 12" chopper on dark bread with chips and a small drink. $17.63. Quite a bit higher than it used to be. As for the taste, it was still a good sandwich, but it did taste different than before. Decent amount of meat and cheese, but it just didn't have the same original flavor I remember. I'll still go here and eat, but I'll order smaller portions next time. $17 is pretty dang steep for a decent sandwich, a tiny bag of chips and a small drink. Hopefully the new owners heed the locals reviews and don't mess up a good thing as this has been the best sub shop around for 15+ years.

I don't recommend. To many changes and not for the good. Staff is rude and one guy likes to sit on the prep table and say inappropriate jokes. I asked for assistance on the kiosk and he basically made fun of me. Got our subs and there was hardly any meat on it. Only one slice of cheese. It was very reduced amount of product for a much higher price. Higher than firehouse. I won't be back.
