Chips and salsa 10/10, queso 10/10, shrimp fajitas 8/10. Service was exceptional even though they were understaffed they still were able to accommodate and handle it with professionalism. I was just made aware that this location is closing and that's very sad. If you get a chance to visit beforehand you definitely should.

Went for my birthday! Got the margarita tower, its was AWESOME, needed more tequila but eh.... the food was FANTASTIC. Love thier Chile. Always super clean. Glad there wasnt a huge wait. Have waited before, totally worth it. Waitress was awesome!

I had my parents 51st Anniversary dinner here. We got the 3 course meal ( which was served in a buffet style) Green Chilli Chicken Enchiladas- Tacos- Tamales- Beans- Rice- with all the fixings! All you can eat and drink for $17.99 per person ( $7 for kids)... Kevin our server was very friendly! They set us up in our own section(room) of pur own. They kept both of our cakes in the fridge until we were ready. I recommend this place to anyone who loves family, friends, great service and Spanish food!! Llegar pronto! Un buen momento está esperando!! Wooohooo! Tas- tas tas. Lol

Really good place to eat. Food was excellent. It is new Mexican food with great green chili. Everything was spicy hot. Even the green chili. I really like their stuffed chili relleno. The sopapillas we're warm and good. The atmosphere is really fun. It does get noise in the dining area.

Family and I had a great time here. Salsa was nice and spicy, ambience was fun, and waitress (while probably had too many tables to cover) was prompt and super helpful. To top it all off the food was delicious. Will return in the future.

I saw pictures of a rose margarita online but when I arrived I couldn’t find it on the menu and was told it’s a seasonal menu item. The manager could tell I was bummed and he found a small rose and put it in my drink 😍☺️ the food was great as well, I had the burnt cheese tacos. Lastly the complementary sopapillas were a delicious dessert with some honey 🍯

The food is excellent, the portions are generous. But the sopapias are the bomb. Unless you have a large appetite and the stomach to back it up a 1/2 portion is not than enough. Bring a date and share the entrée. Services was quick and attentive. Our glasses never made it to empty.

The food was awful. Gardunos used to be top rate, the plate was almost artistic. Now it's cut rate slop. I ordered the Enchilada with machaca, and a stuffed sopapila, with ground beef. The enchilada looked like a school portion, and the sopapilla was no larger than the palm of my hand. Something crunchy, and I've no idea what, was at the bottom of the plate (re fried beans?). The servers were great and helpful, but I doubt I'll ever go back. The Cottonwood restaurant IS nostalgic looking, really wish they could get their act together.

You can't call your smothered enchilada fries carne asada fries. Have you even ever seen carne asada? Or even carne guisada? Bc if you had any notion, you would know what you have named on your menu as such is an abomination to every Hispanic, Mexican, & person of Latino decent. Sincerely disgruntled Hispanic. Come to South Texas, anout 5 hrs from Mexico and let us show you what real Mexican food is like.

The server and staff were good. The food on the other hand has changed and not for the better. I was born and raised in Albuquerque and have been going to Gardunios since i was a kid. I moved away many years ago and every time i come back to visit i come back for the food, but the food is now somewhat disappointing.

We just went here this afternoon and they weren't busy but it took FOREVER to get our food. The shrimp tacos are gross, very dry and the taco shells themselves are tough. My daughter had the cheese enchiladas and said they were good but we won't be going back. This place used to be one of the best but it's gone downhill drastically.

We waited over an hour to be seated, only to be greeted with attitude. Took a while to just get water, but still didn’t get a simple “hello”. They placed a tray of hot plates right behind us so we couldn’t move our chairs. When asking for straws, the waiter tossed them at us - this was perhaps 15 minutes of waiting at the table. When we said we were leaving, the waiter just laughed and walked away.

Went for drinks and had to be moved because of the restrooms smelling so bad and when a gentlemen from another table requested that we all be moved the lady explained that it was a reoccurring complaint. Well if it's reoccurring then don't sit anyone there. They moved us by the bar and our waiter never informed our new waiter of our orders, so it took forever. The girl who waited on us at the new table kindly gave us Sopas free of charge.

Family wanted good New Mexican meal. We hadn't been here in a long time, so thought we would give it a go.
A truly awful dining experience was had. Server was terrible (slow, knew nothing about the menu, disorganized and completely unable to remember anything. 30+ mins for drinks, another 20-30 mins for a refill, etc...).
When this was highlighted to a manager she said she would resolve by getting a new server, but that didn't happen. This was highlighted to her again and she said she would comp an item on the order but this was left on the bill. Second round of drinks only arrived when meal was finished and as the check arrived. Had to point out the errors with the bill to the manager. These were very begrudgingly corrected.
Most diners around us were also complaining and having similar issues.
If you are reading positive reviews, check the date because this is not the place it used to be.
Plenty of other choices for good New Mexican food in town....choose any of them over this place.

The restaurant was filthy, smelled of sour lines in their beer taps and dirty tables all over. Nobody picking stuff off of tables. The service was fair but the server was also unkept. My meal was not what the menu described, when asked why I was told that too many people complained so they just left stuff out and if you wanted it just ask and they’ll get it for you. This was the one off of Coors, don’t think I’ll ever go back.

Haven't been in a couple years. The staff is very friendly, just not a big fan of the food. Had the chicken fajita salad. salad a little to wilted for me :-( On the plus side, best Flan we've ever had.

Went there Monday Dec 26th to meet friends from out of town. They were very slow and severely understaffed. There were tons of open tables yet the wait was 20-25 minutes for a party of 5. We ended up sitting at the bar. The bartender did acknowledge us and told us she would be right with us, 20 minutes later she took our drink order. It took another 30 minutes to put our food order in. My friend ordered a combo and they were out of rellenos, she asked for a shredded beef taco and they brought her a ground meat one. She told the bartender and they brought her out a second ground beef taco. Really?! All 5 of us have been in the restaurant or service industry at one point in time and understand when you're short handed or busy but this was ridiculous! A manager never even came out to check on us after all the mistakes.

Absolutely loved everything! The Blue Mexico margarita was the BEST I have ever had! Jonah, our server, was very helpful in giving recommendations and very attentive to our needs. We will definitely return!
