Review Asian Pear - Albuquerque

Our first. Pros- 1. Food was really good- flavor and specials. spice. 2. Everything was fresh 3 Enough place to sit around and eat peacefully. Cons- 1. Quantity of food is less. A plate can serve only 1 person- especially the specials. 2. You have to catch the attention of the server to get refills on your drinks.

Came here with my best friend. He had never had Korean food before. I liked the food a lot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Korean beef plate, kimci pancake, and a Tai iced tea. It was tasty. It had the right amount of seasoning with a little spice. I will definitely be back.

Small but cute spot. It gets busy and crowded quickly but the service was still fast. Delicious food and large portions! Pro tip, just get the half size of the pancakes unless you have a whole family to feed! So crispy and flavorful. They also played Kpop which was an added bonus.

This little Korean and Japanese spot in NE Albuquerque is super cute. Only a handful of tables so you'd think it would be quiet but not so much. That's all part of the charm though; it's quick and simple, casual, the employees are very friendly and the food is delish. They have all your craveable Korean faves like bulgogi, bibimbob, gimbob, pot stickers and eggrolls, as well as pancakes and ramen. If you haven't had them before, this is a great way to try something new.

Great value! I got the Korean beef special and it was quite filling. He also gave me an extra Korean pancake complimentary. I come here if I want some quick easy Korean when I'm in town.

Loved the food here. We got a sample of the kimchi pancakes and they were superb. Would definitely go again for some fresh and healthy food. Would like to see them expand to new locations across the city if possible!

Elegant Korean fare, light and impeccably prepared by the same lovely owner for years. We were big fans when they were on Central but the new locale sparkles.

Place is great and staff are very friendly. After our order, they gave us a free pancake kimchi i think it was. Would definitely come back again! I got the Koren Beef Bowl and added an egg on it. It was the best!❤️

Asian Pear was a quick, casual eatery with a smaller menu. We had a shrimp egg roll, a chicken pot sticker apiece, the sweet and sour chicken bowl, and the Korean beef bowl. Kimchi, teriyaki sauce, and cucumber salad ramekins on the side. They have fountain drinks and cans of drinks, as well as an assortment of other drinks. I had mentioned to my husband I wanted to try the Korean vegetable pancake next time since he wasn’t interested. The server surprised us with samples along with our meals. The shrimp egg roll was very small and what I would consider a spring roll. The pot stickers were fine; nothing to write home about. The bowls were good, but I added the teriyaki sauce, leftover pot stickers sauce, and cucumber salad to my bowl to make it more “saucy” and diversify the flavors a bit. The sauce on the sweet and sour chicken wasn’t as sweet as I’m used to, but I actually enjoyed. The pancake was exceptional! That will be the reason I return. Absolutely my favorite thing on the menu, as well as my husband’s. It didn’t even need any sauce, which is unusual for me. Overall, a quick, casual eatery with a bit better than average food with a sole exceptional item. Get the pancake!

Customer service always very good. Kim (owner I assume) has brought out samples of the pancake in the past, they're so delicious. The combination boxes with rice and noodles are always very good. The rice is always good. I prefer the beef and the spicy pork. The chicken is okay. Kimchi is good, cucumbers are good. Beef salad with noodles is a go to. Spicy pork bowl is also a excellent choice. And as mentioned the vegetable pancake is good. The sauce is what elevates it! Prices are moderate. Small dining area as mentioned. Take out/carryout is always timely.

This is one of the gems hiding in a corner strip. The place is small set with 8 tables max. The style of pay first is a trending more now in NM. Onto the food. It is without a doubt some of the best Korean food I have had in awhile. The best side or main dish if you wish is the Veggie Pancake! The sauce that comes with this as well is the perfect condiment for it and the other food as well if you are a sauce person. The level of spiciness with food label spicy is moderate for anyone. The way the pork and chicken have been grilled was perfect nothing overcooked or undercooked. Most notably was the owner! She was willing to work with a customer who was vegetarian but had allergies, in addition was willing to customize menu items at zero cost. If that is not customer service then I don't know what is.

Today was our first time trying it out and we were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious! The service was extremely fast. The food came out very fast, and nice and hot. The three dishes that we ordered, were really good. So much so that ordered food to-go so we could bring some for my wife who wasn’t able to come. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We ordered the sweet and sour chicken bowl and spicy pork. The portions were more than enough. Nice, friendly owners and excellent service. They serve a variety of soups and very tasty egg rolls. I recommend the Kimchi Pancake. You will not be disappointed.

It's a fast casual Korean food restaurant. The menu is small but interesting. The food was good. The staff was nice and fast. The eating area is quite small though; maybe 24 seats total.

I stopped in with my wife and infant daughter. The staff was very friendly and personable. The interacted with the baby while my wife ordered and chatted with my wife while I ordered. I got the combo bowl with BBQ chicken and beef and my wife got the beef special. The flavors were great! Not pictured was beef ramen which my daughter practically inhaled and a veggie pancake that we practically inhaled. I very much recommend this place and will hopefully return as soon as I'm in the area again.

This place is amazing. If you want excellent ramen or anything else on the menu, this restaurant will exceed your expectations. The owner and employees are always great, helpful and very courteous. Highly recommend the Kimchi Pancakes. Keep up the outstanding work!

I have eaten at the Asian Pear when they were located at the downtown location. When the place was moved, I felt disappointed because I liked the food here. Until I found out that the restaurant has reopened at another part of town. My friend and I went there for dinner. The space is smaller but the food still tastes amazingly good. I ordered the combo dish with spicy pork and beef over the glass noodles. We also ordered the pancakes. For two people, the regular order is good for sharing. As I was having my noodles, the owner came by to offer four pieces of chicken potstickers. What a treat!! The potstickers were tasty: crispy outside, soft and tasty inside. I will definitely go back there again!
