Review M’tucci’s Italian Market & Pizzeria - Albuquerque

There is alot to say but no time to say how wonderful of an experience you get entering this amazing establishment. The head chef was a great man who takes pride and delicateness to the art he creates with food. The staff and front of the house do acknowledge you and make you known. Worth your time and $$.

Hands down, the BEST restaurant in Albuquerque. The food is always amazing and service is absolutely stellar each and every time. Perfect choice for happy hour.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in the Albuquerque area! It’s a little tacky inside but don’t let that fool you! Everything is made fresh from scratch and it really shows in their dishes. They have some of the most unique Italian dishes I have ever seen and the dessert menu was really fun and tasty. This was paired with excellent service. Our server Charles was awesome and went above and beyond for us!

If you're unaware that M'tucci's is a well known, loved and respected name on the Albuquerque restaurant biz you've been living under a rock. M'tucci's Italian (the first/original of multiple, uniquely named M'tucci locations) was opened in 2013 and quickly became a fan favorite. With an immense menu and clearly attentive and passionate staff it was hard to beat. If you're lucky enough to have the calories in your diet to spare, this is a place that means business. All the menu items are crafted with exceptional care, down to the individual ingredients (e.g. the pepperoni for the pizza is not plain Jane pepperoni, it has a kick to it). Parking is a breeze and it's not hard to find. There is another seating indoors and out (or the bar, if you choose). The staff are exceptional in their knowledge and interest in making the patrons happy. Drinks were refilled before we asked and the kitchen was very accommodating to dietary limitations in our party. Reservations are not needed but if you're bringing a crowd or having a party, they are always recommended. For those sensitive to volume, during peak hours it can get quite loud inside. On Thursdays they also feature live music. It's not garage punk music but it does add to the volume. If you're pondering Italian for your next meal, the only mistake you can make is going somewhere else.

Absolutely amazing Italian food! Soooo grateful we tried this place out and experienced it for the first time. The staff were incredibly sweet and knowledgeable, and made us feel so welcomed. Now the drinks were absolutely fantastic, and I loved the espresso martini. The truffle fries were crispy and so tasty. The appetizers were amazing, and the entrees even better. The cheese wheel pasta was our favorite experience overall. Lastly, the atmosphere was spectacular and really made the whole experience there so wonderful. We can’t wait to go back here with our friends again for another dinner!

I've been here a couple of times now. They have a great selection of drinks. You can choose from beer, wine, and mixed drinks. They have happy hour and daily food specials. the pizza and pastas are really good. Great service. Great ambiance. It's a place for families or dates.

My family and I met in Albuquerque for the Christmas holidays. This was an absolute hit for all four of us. I have eaten all over the world. This place did not disappoint. We agreed that if we had stayed longer we would certainly have eaten at the other 3 restaurants as well.

Oh my goodness, I am brand new to this beautiful area, I went to lunch with my family, and they said I'd love this place. Well indeed, I decided to try something that sounded so delicious, I was in delight when this gorgeous plate was brought by Robert, the kindest person. Upon first bite, I was in heaven, so absolutely delicious. I one hundred percent recommended you try this awesome restaurant, I already know what I'm trying next, and I can hardly wait.

Always delicious Italian food and great service! Been coming here for years and have high expectations every time based on our previous visits. Nice ambiance and friendly staff make the entire experience enjoyable. We've tried half of the menu items and have been happy with all of them. They do a great job of creating tasty dishes with multiple levels of complementary flavors, even some that are unexpectedly great together. Only thing I'd caution against is bringing people who prefer bland food, since they may have trouble finding something to enjoy - my kids don't like the pizza, but do enjoy the spaghetti & meatballs. They always help us destroy the charcuterie though - a must order item.

It had been a while since I had italian. This American-Italian restaurant is right in between fancy and casual. The food was amazing and so were the waiters there. They wore tie which was different. I would recommend this place if you want a good American-Italian taste.

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great for a Sunday lunch, but the only negative was waiting (no joke) 10 minutes before we were even asked for our drink order. Other than that little mistep, the food was so fresh and seasoned well. Their fried calamari came with an indulgent sauce that I wanted to die for. I opted out for roasted artichoke and get this savory, onion, feta, eggplant doused in some amazing oil. Will return for the food, hopefully they're fully staffed next time.

A solid Italian place but nothing special. Started with calamari which was a bit rubbery but the sauces were nice. I had risotto which seemed a little watery. My wife and son both had pasta which were decent. Good service.

What an amazing experience. My husband and I had been at the lavender festival all day and we were exhausted. We arrived and the staff treated us so kindly. I have several dietary needs I was so tired I couldn't read the menu for everything. I asked the waitress and her trainee to just ask the chef to make it up and surprise me. My husband got the ravioli, when both meals arrived they were perfect. The food melted in our mouths. A phenomenal restaurant with outstanding meals and wonderful people.

M’tucci’s was fantastic. Not only do you get a great taste of Italy, but they had a daily special ravioli that included green chile in the pesto sauce. I wasn’t sure how green chili tastes in a pesto sauce but I can say it was perfection. The clam steamers are also a must! Try to get some extra bread to dip in the sauce!

This was one of the only places open late on our drive through town on a long road trip - and I'm so glad they were! The pasta is cooked fresh daily, and oh could you tell! Our meals were great, and the service was astounding (especially considering we were in pretty close to closing time). I wish I could remember our server's name because she was so wonderful to us road weary travelers, but I'll still give a shout out to the waitress who served a couple of Wisconsinites before close on Sat 11/13!

Ya know, there is a reason that I keep going back to this sweet neighborhood fave. It is ALWAYS good, always impressive, always a treat. I had something from the brunch menu, which I've never had!!!! And of course the griglia mistakes & truffle fries. My gawh even the ice tea is better than anywhere else. And the service is kind, thorough, professional, helpful, but also gave me & my friend time to talk & have a relaxing time. This place NEVER disappoints. Never. Ever.

A slice of Manhattan in Albuquerque! ****update 08.11.22**** It's been 3 years since I've been here and left my last review. I was extremely pleased to find out that everything is just as delicious and full of quality as it was before. Tried a couple new items that I hadn't tried before, and was not disappointed at all. Every dish was full of flavor, well portioned, and absolutely hit the spot. They had a new rolling table where they can cook quick meals for you, as well as live music by Robert Martinez. Really good environment and ambience. Iggy was my waitress, and was fantastic. Gave me great recommendations and was very prompt was the service. As I said 3 years ago, this location is a gem. If you haven't been here, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will not be sorry. Was in town for business and wanted to try a different Italian restaurant from ones I did before. Saw this and was swayed by the reviews. Got in for lunch, and was greeted quickly. Hostess was polite and friendly. Ryan, my waiter, was very energetic and personable, and had a few suggestions. I went with the Caesar, Caprese, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Tiramisu. My drink never went empty, with Ryan always being there to fill up when needed. Usually, restaurants serve Caesar with shredded lettuce, and a lot of dressing. My salad s wonderful! Crisp, fresh, and delicious. Caprese was a large portion so I had to take some to go, but it was also delicious and flavorful. The spaghetti and meatballs was absolutely spot on! Soft meatballs, tender, and full of tastiness. Pasta was cooked very well, and the sauce was balanced and did not drown the food. The tiramisu was fantastic. At most places, you get a cake style tiramisu that is either soaked, or a bit dry with too much cream. Their presentation was wonderful, and it tasted sweet and light. I was extremely impressed. To see how they would handle take out, I came back a couple weeks later with my next stop for work. Marissa was the hostess, and she was professional, polite, and very friendly. I ordered the same thing, except got the Hummus Trio instead of the caprese. Everything was included with my order. Now, those who travel know that many times, the portions you get with take out are NOT the same as when you dine in. With my order, they hit perfectly except with the dessert (that in a moment). The hummus trio was very good. Most of the pita breads were soft, and the cucumbers freshly cut. The hummus itself was varied in taste, and had a great texture. Caesar was the same level of when I went to dine in. Fresh, delicious. Spaghetti and meatballs again lived up to my expectations. Full portion, and tasted so so good. Dessert was the same flavor paradise I had before, but it was in a smaller cup. I know presentation can't be the same, but was hoping it would be in a cup equal to the portion I got at the restaurant. However, the taste was more than enough to forgive this minor issue. I absolutely love this place. The service is top notch, the atmosphere is very nice, and the quality put into their food is evident. I have traveled to New York several times, and been to many high rated restaurants. M'tucci's is definitely on par with them. Prices are very appropriate for what you get. I would HIGHLY recommend going here, whether it's dine in or take out. The owners and staff should be very proud of what they give to their clients. I cannot wait until the next time I can stop by.
