Review Christy Mae's Restaurant - Albuquerque

Got some takeouts when my MIL is in town. She had chicken fried steak with mash potato and corn, and she loves it! I had beef stew, it comes with a cornbread. It's not bad but not my cup of tea. Beef is extremely tender. There are celery, carrots, potato chunks inside. Comes with good amount of sauce. My husband had the Turkey sandwich. He said it's good too. Everything comes with good portion. Ingredients are fresh, and taste very hearty and homey.

Ordered Cousin Homer’s Ham with mashed potato’s and corn on the cob and the pot pie with corn bread and banana bread. The ham steak with the grilled pineapple was delicious and I liked the mashed potatoes. I personally didn’t like the corn that much, I’ll try a different side next time. The banana bread was a bit dry. Ordered apple pie as dessert and the portion size was pretty small for the price, but it tasted like they used fresh apples which is a plus. Very cozy and homey atmosphere inside and service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back to try more items on the menu.

Very delicious food, we had the turkey green chili pot pie and the chicken pot pie. Delicious!! This is the cleanest restaurant I have been in. Ceiling vents spotless, ceiling very clean, the floors were spotless. All of the chain restaurant management and staff should come here and see what clean is and how to do it. None of the staff standing around doing nothing they are taking care of their tables and cleaning their area throughout our visit. All of them working not just one or two.

We visited this place during our road trip for some lunch, and we enjoyed our experience very much. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, even though there were a lot of people in the restaurant. The food was brought very quickly, which is surprising, since the place was actually full. The interior is very nice — stylish, old fashioned style, country vibe. The food was also pretty good. Pot pie was delicious. The surroundings are a bit eerie, the neighborhood doesn’t look very friendly.

Everything about this little place is amazing! If you want breakfast, a quick lunch or even a larger dinner, they have you covered. Their desserts are fantastic, and if you haven't had some of their banana bread, then what have you been doing with your life?! The front of house crew are fantastic at their jobs, and the kitchen staff certainly make some of the best comfort food that I've had in a while. Great job, Christy Maes! 👏

Great local restaurant, big portions for the price and great quality food. Definitely try the unsweetened orange cinnamon tea it was awesome and the banana bread was also very good. The cream of chicken soup with green chili was also really noteworthy, a nice blend of down home comfort with that New Mexico green chili flare. The only thing of note I would mention is get there early, the parking lot isn't huge and there might a bit of wait to sit at your table but only 10 to 15 minutes.

Nice local place with a variety of foods. I had the ham and cheese croissant with fries. It was huge!!! I ended up eating it with a knife and fork. Also has the carrot cake and it was delicious!

This is a very adorable restaurant with amazing food. They had a spiced apple cinnamon tea that was very unique. Fantastic appetizers like fried zucchini and I tried the chicken pot pie and a avocado salad "alligator pear" which was the best salad I've ever had in my life. I also asked for green chile ranch which was amazing! There were many desert options, but I was too full to order. I will be back again.

Amazing food, amazing staff, great owner. The pot pies are wonderful, and the harvest sandwich they have is vegetarian and so delicious. Sunflower seeds and avocado are a great combo.

I would actually rate them 3.5 stars. Food was/is okay to good. However, the service is my opinion is there downfall. I tip based upon service. If my drink is empty & the server walks past and doesn't even acknowledge that's it's empty, after looking at it, tip and my opinion drops dramatically.

We are a loyal customers.. Don't get me wrong, love the food. Chicken pot pie & kids menu- awesome !! But lately, my experience isn't so friendly & food is okay due to some bad service with servers & cooks. I think, it's sad. But after my meal was undercooked- last week. I don't want to come back. So if that's how it's going to be. then so be it. Some bad service & now undercooked. Shame. If the servers are going to be like this- then this job isn't for them. I don't want my kids & I get sick over pick & chose to be unfriendly & trying to make us sick.. the chicken fried chicken wasn't even cooked, it was super raw & rubbery & smaller portion then regular portion. ... Lost a loyal customer.

I have been going to Christy Mae's for years, my favorite has always been the chicken salad. Yesterday I was sadly disappointed in our lunch, my chicken salad was bland, dry, without walnuts and lacked flavor. Sadly, lunch for 2 totaled $33.00 plus tip.

This is one of our favorite family dining restaurants in Albuquerque. They serve delicious sandwiches, salads, burgers, soups, pot-pie, desserts, and specials, like the Lorenzo, a New Mexican plate. My favorite fish and chips with coleslaw is served on Fridays. They open at 11 am and are closed on Sundays.

My Family and I love to come here. Food is always fresh, nice and hot! Am a very picky person. My food Always comes out the way I like it. No complaints! Except our service (server) was very poor. She did not greet us, "hello good afternoon", "how is your day going today", or "welcome to Christy's". What u want to drink is what she said. Usually service is good, but that Monday no! No refills. No smiles. Or come back and see us when ticket was given to us! But still manage to give her a tip. Not sure if will be coming back or maybe for while 😊 Am a server myself, I would have done super better.

We all know how rare it is to find a restaurant that holds its standards across the years. This place is one of them. Great food, every time. Happy staff which is so important for our experience as guests. Love this place. Wish we lived closer!

Love the atmosphere and croissant sandwiches. Best spicy iced tea of anywhere.

Was one of our favorite places however the last few times gotta admit the service had not been very good. It seems to have been enough of a drop off to make it noticable to me and I'm not one to notice things like that unless it is a lot. Wonder if it's under new management. Am going to check out recent reviews on yelp see if it appears to be a trend or a once in a while thing.
