Is there a better place to get Cuban food in Albuquerque? The staff is absolutely phenomenal here and make amazing meals. The Cuban coffee is delicious and the Cubano sandwiches is my favorite in Albuquerque. I started going here a few years back and the level of consistency will keep me going here forever!

Awesome little place here! Great service, great people. Food was amazing and made me miss my home in the Caribbean. A guava smoothie option would have been even better. Maybe next time?

Yuuummm!!! Guava Tree came highly recommended by a number of friends so I had to try it! Their sandwiches are hot, fresh, and delicious. I even ordered to go to have it again later that day. Add the yucca fries to your sandwich, although without you still have plenty of food! Great way to support local and get amazing food too!

My new favorite Abq spot for a delicious, fresh, healthy meal! It was such a lovely lunch with my daughter. The food, the joyful, welcoming owner and the sunny outdoor table on a warm fall day. The arepa pabellón was delicious, yucca fries and a mango/passion fruit drink made fresh was the perfect meal! Even though I stuffed myself I felt good, not heavy...comfort food that makes you feel good is heavenly! I can't wait to go back!

We had breakfast here and it surprisingly GREAT.
The arepas were delicious, the Cuban sandwich was on point. The pernil sandwich was tasty and perfectly cooked.
The yucca frita and the sauce were great.
My mother in law ordered the arepa del perro and the avocado was fresh and tasty.
The staff was really nice.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Had the Cuban sandwich 🥪. Surprisingly, it was very good. Also got a side order of Tostones. Wife had the shredded beef Arepa. She also enjoyed her plate. My only complaint was that server seemed to be bothered when we walked in being that they were an hour from closing. Oh well, work until it's quiting time.

As a Cuban, i always tend to have high standards since my Abuela sets the bar so high! The Guava Tree has a really cute authentic Cuban vibe! We ordered the sampler platter for the appetizer. Absolutely loved everything and the sauces! Tostones we’re a little dry and unsalted but the sauces made them okay. The Cubano was good! Cuban bread was a little stale but overall the sandwich was very large for the price. The guava/cream cheese filled pastelito is served warm and was excellent!

I didn't expect much coming into this place. It's just a hole in the wall on Santa Monica in Albuquerque New Mexico. We took a table and sat down and then my wife asked and its counter service only. Which is perfectly fine. When they brought out our Colombian coffes they were absolutely amazingly delicious! I asked the counter server for what is the most popular dish and he recommended the Pelotero.
The Pelotero dish was a flavor explosion in my mouth. It's like I traveled to Colombia and went to the finest restaurant and had the freshest, best ingredients possible to make my lunch!
The people here are attentive, friendly, inviting and the food is smashingly delicious! Did I say the food was delicious? It was awesome freaky delicious!

Great local place. The food was exquisite! Little bitty place, but it's worth it!

This place is delicious, I haven’t quite found the best thing on the menu, yet. I think I prefer their meat options opposed to their veggie ones. I’ll be back to try more!

Small but tasty menu. We tried the Cuban, the arepa rellena and soup. Very good overall. Topped with passion fruit and guava juice. Service was quick.

My favorite of the two locations. Great sandwich spot. Always gotta get yuca fries and sweet plantains fried to perfection 🥰

It's a small place with a cozy feel. Food was slow to come out of the kitchen but worth the wait. Will definitely come back.

I always have a great experience here the people that work here are always nice. The food that comes out of that kitchen is worth the wait which normally isn't long. The space is a bit cramped but still enjoyable. And you can still have a conversation and not disturb others.

One of the best Cuban sandwiches I have ever had. Fresh authentic ingredients. All the right flavors. Made fresh daily and the owners take pride in the things they put on the menu. Service is a bit slow. Took over 15 minutes to make one sandwich. But the food is so good it's worth the wait.

Cubano must try! Pernil was delicious, with carmelized onions. Guava mango drink was good, large size. Very friendly service, upbeat music playing while enjoying tasty sandwiches.

The service here is excellent and the food is great. The guava pollito sandwich is my favorite. The tostones are amazing; they remind us of the high quality ones we used to get in Puerto Rico. Also, make sure to order their ‘café con leche’; it is really exceptional.

Wow! A must try for Albuquerque. Delicious traditional Cuban food. Try the papelón, a lemonade mixed with clove and cinnamon. Bowl size coffee available. The pelotero special has deliciously seasoned shredded pork, black beans, white rice, fried yucca, plantains, and side salad. Absolutely love this dish, it has a little bit of everything.

Only one word comes to mind when describing this place: Authentic. This is my absolute favorite place to eat and my first go-to when showing people around the city of Albuquerque. Nothing, and I really mean nothing, beats the taste of their food. I've tried just about everything on the menu, and every choice is gold. Their sandwiches, arepas, smoothies, sides, and COFFEE, is all completely crafted in such a fresh and authentic style, you won't find this food anywhere else. My favorites are the Pernil if you like savory, Caribe if you like fresh, either with a side of fried yucca (think of french fries but not as salty and greasy), a jugo (Spanish for "juice" - a smoothie) de mango vainilla, and if you're a coffee fan like me, you'll love a "Bon Bon," which is a double shot of espresso with sweetened condensed milk, aka "Lechera." I could go on and on about how amazing this place is; everything from the food and drinks, to the friendly and helpful, hard-working staff, to the furniture and music, with some fútbol always playing. Everything about Guava Tree is perfección.

This is a place that you can eat good, quality Latin food!!
The ambiance is very casual and welcoming. Pricing is very affordable and you can combine your lunch with a walk thru Nob Hill. Truly, an enjoyable dinning experience.

Extremely sweet and hardworking staff and have had both pork sandwiches now as this was my second visit - recommend both ! Also, side salad for a little greens is great for only $1.50

My husband and I have been driving across America eating good food and drinking good coffee. We ate here today and it was our favorite meal of the entire trip! The food was amazing, and the employees were extremely nice and even gave me a coffee for the road when I mentioned I was driving to Arizona! I can't recommend this place enough!! It is a must if you are traveling through Albuquerque!

If you would like to find a Caribbean Oasis in the Duke City ladies and Gentlemen this is it. Being puerto rican and raised on food like they have on the menu brought me back to my home island...the drinks, flavorful food, wonderful owner and staff, ambiance and music all helped bring home to me and my family while we were here....Great place for a first date idea as well...

Being from Costa Rica this is the closest to home cooking that I get they have such great flavors in every dish. Love their arepas and the new location is very nice‼️

Food was good. Employees were not the nicest and we had to ask for a table to be cleaned. I also did not get all my food but it was chaos so I forgot to ask for it and remembered long after I was home.
