This is a very warm and inviting space. The food options are excellent: the feature authentic New Mexican dishes and a great selection of wine, beer, and spirits. Location is easy to find, and the parking lot features easy access to the front door. Very convenient for those with mobility issues.

Holy smokes. Talk about a diamond in the rough. It's outside appearance and full parking lot are not one in the same. We stopped here for lunch on a recommendation from tiktok and we were not disappointed. I'm on a mission to try the green chile cheese fries from every place that offers them and between that and the tortillas I was in heaven. I will be back. That is a promise.

I'm a bit biased because I'm a HUGE fan of Duran's Pharmacy, so unfortunately, I compare them to each other. đ€Šââïž With that being said... it's definitely different, I know the two restaurant owners are within the same family. The food was good all around, and i can say it holds up to the others in town. The red chile was HOT, which was a win in my book. We had red chile blue corn enchiladas, and my niece had a cheeseburger that she raved about. The sopapillas were little pillows of goodness đ«¶

Recommend by my boss, no wonder he loves it so much! Got the combination plate with Christmas. Delicious! Nice place, great atmosphere, and great service. We'll be back again.

Where do I beginâŠ
Duranâs Station is homegrown New Mexican delicious, outstanding food and outstanding customer service is exemplary. This staff is polite and efficient at all times which is why we keep coming back over and over again. Not to mention we love the music they play on the stereo. The food really is though, outstanding and we have never had a bad meal or even a questionable one. , I am certain that they would go above and beyond to make it right if we did. If youâve seen this place driving by or have heard the wonderful buzz, donât wait any longer and put yourself out of misery from all of the other miserable places . There are a hand full of genuine NM food restaurants in this town and Duranâs is right up there with the very best.
Thanks Duranâs Station for setting the standard higher and delivering what customers expect. You guys ROCK!!!
Josie Abbenante
The place is small, situated in an old fire station. Small but mighty. Excellent NM food. I LOVE the chicken enchiladas, but everything we have eaten here is excellent.
Can't go wrong.

What a gem!
Damn good food. This Iittle place has charm, and fantastic food! A sweet find. The staff are wonderful, attentive, friendly, and well organized for this busy eatery.
My new absolute fav for chopped green chile and the red chile! Good stuff! Their buttered Tortillas are thick and tasty. Their entrées are tasty, well proportioned (not too much)
Durans has great food!
Great service!
And is a great place for one, two, or more people.
We will be back for sure.

It was good. I'm still not quite sure how it is officially a Mexican restaurant. When we asked the server what the best dish is she suggested to get a hamburger! đ
That being said, our server was very nice and the food we had was good. I don't think there was any egg in the chili relleno. It was not one of the best I've had.
Jon Firth
Some of the best Mexican food in Albuquerque! I was in town for work and was set on finding some good Mexican food. This place was close to my hotel so decided to give them a try. I loved the green chili but do not pass up their red chile. It was the best I've ever tasted. Super friendly staff and great beer options.
Victoria Adams
Amazing New Mexican food! Will definately be coming back!! Sopapillas were hot and delicious!
Geoff Walsh
First time eating here, but I've been traveling to Albuquerque for decades. Very simple decor, but the food was delicious. Great salsa with enough spiciness. I ordered the chile relleno plate with red and green chile on top. Personally I thought the green was much better. Good beer selection, so I paired my rellenos with a couple of cold Carta Blanca beers. Perfect meal. Our server, Esme, was great! Highly recommended, and I will be back next time I'm in Albuquerque

Durbanâs is a haven for comforting New Mexican food that brings the heat! They are straight to the point with delicious food and great service. They have the best chips & salsa and tamales Iâve ever had to date and highly recommend both. Their sopapillas are delicious as well and the accompanying sauces and chopped green chiles really complete the meal.

We stopped by for some Carne Adovada burrito plates. Delicious. Tina had the enchiladas. Both very filling. Funny how they turned Station 8 old firehouse into a restaurant. Those were the days. Keep up the good work đ

Top 3 Mexican restaurants in Alby. Truly excellent food. Their red chile sets the standard for what red chile should be and only few achieve.
Ann Brown
Most delicious red chili in Albuquerque! And the sweetest server too. Combo relleno and enchilada dish was exceptional as was the chips and salsa! Who cares if the atmosphere isn't romantic because the food definitely is!
Jeanne McLeod
Awesome! Everything was Great. 1st time in and we will be back! Enchiladas had plenty of red and green with great flavor,, didnt have to ask for extra. Guacamole, salsa, and Queso all top notch! Then top it off with Delightful sopas! Yep they even have great wait staff that works together to keep drinks full and are happy! Thank you we had a wonderful time.

Durans is the best in Albuquerque, hands down! The best chili around. I make delicious New Mexican food, but Iâve got to say their food is GREAT!
RW Lujan
I go for the great quality of New Mexican chilé recipes and dishes. I support local restaurants.

Our server was quick and attentive. The food amazing. No matter how full make sure you order some sopapillas.
Jared Lockwood
This food was absolutely delicious. It has a great hole in the wall/diner atmosphere. Such great New Mexican flavors! Service was friendly too. Highly recommended.

Have been going to Duran's Station for many years. Tonite was the night before Thanksgiving and it was crowded. I arrived early enough to get a table in a booth across from the counter. Before my order came, but beer and chips were already on the table, I was asked by the waitress if I would move to another table that happened to be in the only table in the corner so a party of three could have my booth. I stayed there briefly by their fire hydrant then asked to be moved to the center of that space that happened to be between a cold window and the refrigerator. I ordered and finished my food then paid the bill (which I really felt should have been compted or a lower price for my move to a cold window). I spoke briefly to the waitress who was sympathetic. The owner (name not known, but he said he was the owner). No apologies, except that they were very, busy which means he was making loads and loads of money.  And it was not crowded when I arrived. Service was good, waitress was fine. The manager on duty was apologetic. Owner should stay home and let them do their work. He is a rude bastard (sorry I can't think of a better word). I hope a lot of people read this. He is going to kill this business. I have loved it for many years but will never set put in Duran's Station again. Maybe this is the way he treats older women who come in alone. Shame on him!!!!

True "New Mexican" food. Hole in the wall that you'd probably drive by if you weren't with a local. The blue corn enchiladas with the green chile is very tasty.
Marie
Always a great meal! The staff is friendly, some of them know our order by heart. This is a great no frills weekday dinner spot. Company always like it too.
Jordan Key
I've never experienced red chile that was this good. Smothered over a burrito, this is one of the best red chile sauces in town, but it is rather scalding! The highlight was my server bringing freshly made tortillas to take home!
Gypseewoman
Mmmmmm. You CAN NOT go wrong with the Red Chile! My favorite is the red beef enchiladas, with an egg on top. And of course a fresh, hand made tortilla! Remember that you have to ask for their famous tortillas; they do not come with the meal. Oh so good!
Fargyres
Will try again one day. First experience not the best for me, but will give it another shot. restaurants do experience bad days.
Sunnquality
Stuffed Sopapillas. It has two fresh sopapillas filled with beef and beans and a great green chili sauce on top.<br/><br/><br/>-----04 Jan, 2015-----<br/><br/>Best stuffed sopapilla in town. This restaurant is one of the best New Mexican food restaurants in Albuquerque. I have been going to its mother restaurant down on Central for 25 years but enjoy the added selections at the Manall restaurant. The red and green chili are both excellent. They make the tortillas by hand which taste very good with butter on it. My favorite dish right now is the stuffed sopapillas.

$2.00 per TBSP sides NOT COOL !. Boyfriend & I wanted a lite fare, nothing fancy in our neighborhood, and selected Duran's. NOTHING FANCY is right, it feels like a School cafeteria, with the work staff appearing the same- school age, cut off jeans & not professional "1st job". Cold salsa and funny tasting chips are "made on site" - I wouldn't be proud of that fact ! Meal so-so, as expected for a quick bite. If the red chili was a hit it was years ago, not current. But the topper was the $ 12.00 add for all our sides: $2 per Tbsp guacamole $ 2.00/ TBSP salsa, $2.00 per TBSP sour cream etc... $2.00 extra TBSP cheese required for the bland fare. Won't be going back.

Delicious food & friendly people!. We had a delicious dinner (the highlight was perfect crispy chile rellenos!) and were given salted caramel gelato on the house. The wait staff and owner were pleasant and friendly, and no one seemed to mind when we unknowingly stayed past closing hours. They even invited us to stay inside when it started pouring out, as we had ridden to the restaurant on bikes. Overall a great dining experience and my friends, family, and I will be back!

Great Food. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in ABQ. Great tasting, fast service and great portions. Highly recommend.

Dinner tonight. Duran's has the best red chili in town but they are so skimpy with their meat. I ordered the blue corn cheese enchiladas with chicken. There was about 2 oz of chicken in the meal. Really disappointing. I like their whole beans. But for $2.00 extra for meat I think they can do better. Time to find a new place to eat New Mexican.

Exceptional Food Extremely .... Exceptional Food<br/>Extremely Pricey
S10house
My fav. Duran's is my place of choice for New Mexican food. Anything with chicken in it is outstanding. Try the chicken enchiladas with red. Reasonably priced. Service ranges from outstanding to satisfactory. Have never had bad service. Have never had a meal I didn't throughly enjoy

Always Good. This place isn't going to wow you but it is consistently great.<br/><br/>I'm there every Saturday with my kids and the new Lucy burger (think I got that wrong) is terrific.<br/><br/>Good food, great service, great value. A rare find in Albuquerque. <br/><br/>PS: Please bring back the apple cake.

Go to New Mexican Restaurant. This is my favorite New Mexican restaurant. The service is always friendly and the food is very good. My favorite is theTortilla soup. The Carne Adovada burrito is a close second. This is a local hole in the wall that I highly recommend. They also have a nice Mexican beer selection. One caution, don't order a Margaritta, they are from a box and not very good. But since my preference is beer, not an issue for me!
Daniel
Great food. This is my favorite place to have take out. The food is nice and hot and they use the best quality products. My wife orders the red chile carne adovada enchiladas every time.<br/>Atmosphere is great if you decide to eat in.
Johnny 2x's
Pricey. I had the blue corn enchiladas smothered in red with beef and an egg over easy on top. My beverage was water. The chile was good, the meat almost nonexistant, and way too small a portion for $15. I left hungry. The chips and salsa were good though but they aren't endless. They want to charge for additional servings. What a shame cause the place has potential.
The Globalizer
Simple, straightforward. In every foodie's bag of tricks, there are the show-stoppers, the avoids, the regulars. Duran's is the fourth category -- that simple place that you pop in once in a while to have a solid, nicely priced meal. (I could see this being a "regular" for some, but my regulars are a bit more eccentric.)<br/><br/>Started out with chips and salsa -- chips were a nice rough corn composition, and the salsa was fresher and less spicy than most ABQ New Mexican food joints. For my meal, I had a breakfast burrito, with sausage and green chile; everything tasted just as it should (maybe a bit less spicy than natives might like, but just fine for my east coast palate).<br/><br/>As others have noted, service is friendly, informal, and attentive. I had the classic drink refill experience:<br/><br/>Waitress: "Would you like a refill?"<br/><br/>Me: "No, I'm OK."<br/><br/>(a short time later)<br/><br/>Busboy: "Here's a refill."<br/><br/>I *was* fine, but that level of attention was appreciated.<br/><br/>All in all, a nice neighborhood spot. You won't be blown away, but I don't expect you'll leave unsatisfied too often, either. If I'm in the uptown/midtown Menaul area and suddenly feel hungry, I know where I'm going.

My husband and I enjoy eating at Duran Station as often as we can. Their chicken tacos are fabulous...It is a Homey feeling place with friendly wait staff... would recomend again and again..

Good New Mexican food that's very underpriced.... Service a bit slow due but worth it... Red Chili good and almost Hot, green chile mild... Salsa is good and hot... Ordered Sopapillas and obvious the fry oil was bad..... But looked great and probably most people couldn't tell, but I could.... Still support Local, it's still a better casual eatery then most in town.....
Lisa
Great little place!. What a great little place in the heart of town. Small, but lively and comfortable atmosphere, with excellent service. Husband had a combo plate that included a taco with some delicious taco sauce. I had two bean(whole, not refried) stuffed sopaipillas (only available 3 days a week) which were simple, but delicious. Husband's combo had beans as a side, but the sopaipillas did not, which made for a rather lite meal (I only ate one because I like to save some for leftovers). We'll definitely be back!
TasteTester
Never Again. I decided I'd give this place a try after a so-so meal 6 months ago. The tamale plate looked good, but that's where the goodness ended. The red chile was undercooked and tart. The masa was dry. The pork was overcooked and dry. The sopapillas were too thick, greasy and cost $1.30 extra. My wife's plate came with a tortilla. Imagine my surprise after hearing the waiter describe how they were "home made" to a couple at the next table, when I took a bite of what was obviously a store bought tortilla that had just been pulled out of a plastic bag. Well, the atmosphere is very nice, the wait staff is good, and the food came out fast. But people, that does not make Duran's Station anywhere near as good as say, Padilla's, Mary and Tito's or even El Patio for that matter.

We were passing through on vacation and found this gem. Great Southwest food for a great price. I had the burrito and it was at least a pounder with great green chili sauce.
Nathan Lesiak
LOVE the Friday stuffed sopapillas!

Love coming here anytime we're on this side of town. Small restaurant with a clean open atmosphere and the usual New Mexican fare well repared. Couteous waitstaff.

My New Favorite New Mexican. Excellent tamales! Hot fresh salsa! Good green chile!

On its Facebook page, Duranâs Station posted the three ways to your heart: âbuy me enchiladas, make me enchiladas and be enchiladas.â Frankly, Duranâs Station has many ways to win the heart of all its diners and though most of them involve red and (or) green chile, the menu also features some pretty terrific desserts. While some are seasonal (caramel apple cake), you can usually find a pie or two on the menu. The buttermilk pie with vanilla ice cream is especially good if you have a pronounced sweet tooth. Itâs ultra rich and buttery with a smooth texture and crumbly crust.
