Waffle House

We have been customers of the Waffle house for years and we'd go about 5 to 7 times a week, We loved the people that worked there. We know know most of the employees really good. Well​ tonight we go in and have a very simple dinner. I ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwiches​ & a small bowl of chili, my mom ordered the same thing, My husband ordered the same thing but had bacon added to his grilled cheese sandwiches. And we all had cokes to drink. I almost fell over when I looked at the bill. It was $ 29.57. 3 small bowls chili 3 cokes 4 grill cheese sandwiches 2 grill cheese sandwiches with bacon. Not worth that price and the girl says we figured it out 2 times and that was the cheapest price. I won't go back. I didn't want to do 1 star but I had to. :( :(

Went there for breakfast mid Sunday morning. Ordered blue berry waffles, it was awful, ironic considering the name of this restaurant. A frozen waffle of any grocery brand fixed in a toaster would beat these any day! The unsweetened ice tea was made at least a day or two before, so I couldn't even drink it. The staff was working hard so they turned the AC so low my girlfriend and I were shivering. The grits were very good, my girlfriend's omelet was lacking. Service was good.

Im from the Atlanta area ..and grew up with waffle house awesome food and excellent service ....always ..clean and curtious ....love waffle house .. Now the waffle house..i Albemarle..on 52 omg ..1st visit ..not greeted ..with wekcome to waffle house ..very dirty not one table clean we had to sit at the bar ..on one employee which was over whelmed..the mananger and one other employee..was out back smoking... I mentioned how dirty all talbes were and food all over the floor and grill .. Ive never seen a waffle house like this ever...in fact i almost got up and left .. On a scale of 1 to 10 i would rate this waffle house a - 1.... When i mentioned to the manager .... Her reply ...was we just got slammed...lol ..ive seen some of the busiest stores in Atlanta.slammed and never once a store like this ..we were not greeted with welcome to waffle house ..or good morning.. On our 2nd visit today ..i ordered a all star ..egg medium over well ..that were not cooked correct ..i ordered wheat toast dry ..which was served with butter ..hash browns were cold ..bacon was cold ..when i ask for manager got a attitude... Ive never in 50 yrs ive never been treated and had such poor service at a waffle house ever . in fact i will never return to this atore ever again . This manager should either be retrained or look for new employment.... The waitress was very embarrassed and said she was sorry ......i still left a curtious tip it was not her fault. ... I hope that someone addresses this issue ..i love waffle house...and hope i find one closer to eat at ..
