As I was walked in I greeted the fellow working and asked about a few things. He came to assist me then asked me if I had a mask. I stated I have an exemption, he insisted to see. I feel uncomfortable sharing such personal information with just anyone, this information I usually discuss with my doctor. I proceeded to share my personal information in my phone, then was asked to show ID to prove it was me. I only had cash with me as I knew what I wanted. I was declined service as "this phone could belong to a friend." Extremely disappointed with the service here and will not be returning to a place where I'm discriminated. What's next? Are they going to ask me if I have hepatitis and wanting to know more information about my personal life and where I live? How is this perceived as normal?

Owner: very unprofessional and quite rude, as soon as we plugged our laptop into the power point which was next the seat, he came to us and in a condescending manner told us that we can't use his power all day !!! We actually intended to buy some of their beans and local honey but not after the poor choice of words and decided to leave. There could've been a million other ways to ask politely and to give a reputable service but not treating people that way. On a positive note the coffee was good. In response to below comment: you have a fair point but you can't assume that everyone is a backpacker just because they look or sound different ! We do apologize for using the power without asking but that never occurred in any of the places we've been while we travel most of Australia. And as I said your approach as a business owner was very wrong, and for the issue you're facing a simple note either on the wall or the table would've been more than enough. We love supporting local business on our travels however this ruined not only the coffee experience but the whole place in general.
