Number 1 Kitchen

So I’ve been coming to No1 since I was 15 and that was 13 years ago and I used to worship this place as the best Chinese in the state, however recently, that being the last three years and the last few months especially this place has gone completely downhill. Tonight was the last time my wife and I will ever go here. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and my wife got the General Tso’s chicken which are usually safe bets. Tonight I got a Mongolian onion and my wife got General Tao’s that was grossly over cooked and tasted like sweet and sour gone wrong. Even with the price home (which my wife and I could care less about the price) we still held to our hopes of a good meal but that’s not something you will find here anymore.

I’ve been coming here sense I was a kid, the food was always great! However these past few months the food has been terrible. Doesn’t taste good, overcooked, but tonight was the final straw. I had ordered some sesame chicken, and when me and my family started to eat it, not only was it cold, but it was undercooked. I can handle some undercooked beef, but undercooked chicken? That’s unacceptable. Could’ve gotten my entire family sick. I will never be coming back.

We absolutely LOVE this place! This has been our go to Chinese restaurant since 2013! I have tried a few others in our area and they were ok... Nothing to write home about compared to this place though! I tell everyone about them and if we are with friends who want Chinese this is what we buy them all!

We ordered bourbon chicken and it was small pieces of chicken FRIED. Never had bourbon chicken fried before. I got fried rice you could tell it was prepackaged a long time before I received it. It had some very dried out rice in it and no vegetables. My wife got crispy beef and broccoli and we have yet to figure out where they got the word crispy in the name. It was soooo sweet she couldn't even eat it. I did get an egg roll that I liked however lol. We called to find out why her food was so sweet and they said it was the broccoli. NO 1 Kitchen not in my book.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We found this place by word of mouth and decided to try them out. This is our new "go to" for Chinese food. The roast pork fried rice is AWESOME! Everything we've tried so far has been exceptional. They make the BEST crab rangoons. Every other place I've tried, I only eat the middle because the edges are tasteless and crunchy. NOT HERE! Their crab rangoons are the BEST I've ever had! Please don't ever change the way you make them. We will be repeat customers for life.

An absolute hole in the wall but it has “thee best” Chinese takeout in the Akron area! We tried this place based on reviews and we were hooked! The flavor is amazing and the ingredients fresh! This place is obviously not a secret, it has a significant line each time I have picked up dinner. Enjoy!
