in town for one night and found this wonderful place from the hotel staff. atmosphere was outstanding, food was out of this world, bbq sauce selection was original and right tasty, staff was superb. Desert with cornbread and baked apples in a sauce on top is to die for. well worth the 6 hour trip for me and one i am willing to do again just to eat there again. shame i can only give 5 stars.

We were excited about the new brunch offering and Doug and crew did not disappoint! I had the smokehouse flapjacks...Bonefire's take on chicken & waffles...heaven. Just replaced my hankering for the now-defunct Thelma's Chicken & Waffles in Roanoke, VA, and that's saying something. The pancakes are cornmeal-based, and you can add bacon cracklings, which were cooked in the batter. Imagine light-as-air flat sweet corn muffin...with bacon! The chicken was tender and crispy, and you can get your maple syrup regular or spicy! My husband had the benny, which he declared delicious, and we got an order of the breakfast casserole to go (it is delicious as well!). Excited to have a great brunch close by...even more excited that it happens to be at one of our favorite local eateries!

Food and service was phenomenal! Best brisket and ribs around! You have to try the corn bread fritters. Collard greens where cooked to a perfect (not mushy) texture and had a more sweet savory flavor. Potato salad had a great smoked flavor and was nothing like I had ever had before. The brisket Philly sandwich with Gouda cheese, peppers, and onions literally melted in my mouth! Get a side of their bbq sauce - you will put it in everything. Service was great and we got our food without a huge wait. We will be back to try more of their menu selection!

Where to start...our waitress was great. I asked her to put together a flight of beers for me, told her what I generally like and dislike, she did a great job. The flight glasses are bigger than average. I really enjoyed it. Then our food came..it was one of the best BBQ meals my husband & I have had (and that's after traveling around the country). The smoked turkey was incredible. My husband doesn't even care for mac & cheese or cornbread, but he really enjoyed both. I LOVED them, along with the beans. Everything was homemade. Highly recommended this place, I wish we lived closer to enjoy it more often.

The food here is fantastic. The ribs fall off the bone, the mac N cheese creamy and delicious, the corn bread is a slightly sweet treat for the senses. MUST get corn bread fritter. James Slayer was a wonderful waiter even though we paid, tipped, and checked out he went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. All around great food, atmosphere and staff. Would definitely recommend to grab a bite when in town.

The picture doesn’t do justice on this Amazing sandwich. The Fried Green Tomato BLT on a fresh bun is one the the best, and the sliced Brisket is some of the best I’ve ever had . I travel for work and I came across this place while working in SW VA veteran owned and operated. The atmosphere is chill the food is next level. Let me not forget Doug and the Twins John and James they bust they tail 7 days a week to give u the best experience and their knowledge of their craft beer selection is top notch.

This place is fantastic! The brisket sandwich was absolutely delicious! The service as fast and very friendly! We sat next to the open window and enjoyed the view and fresh air. The BBQ sauce is served on the side allowing the true smokey flavor of the meat to not be covered up or masked. This is the way good BBQ is intended to be eaten! The corn fritters are in a class by themselves. I am so glad I took her advice and tried them. Their home fried potato chips are also done to perfection. Can't wait to come back for more.

Really good bbq place in a quaint little town. Came here twice on a business trip and it is very good. The smoked wings and side dishes were phenomenal. Their daily craft beer selection always have such a variety.
