Covered Bridge Resturant And Lounge

My 7 family members and I came to eat here after a long day at MOA. And it was about an hour and a half before they closed so I didn't have high hopes. But when we got seated our waitress [I unfortunately didn't get her name] was extremely attentive to us. She made us laugh! She was the only waitress waiting tables and we were just so appreciative to how amazing she was. And when we got the food it was amazing! Their salads were so fresh and great. And the food was above and beyond expectations! This will definitely be a recurring place we come to eat!

Good food, friendly wait staff who were all smiles and attentive without that awful fake conversation and hovering you can get. Our waitress called many of the locals by name. Menu includes the usual bar and grill fare; burgers, sandwiches, pizza and Midwest comfort food dinners. We had a fried walleye dinner and a Ribs and Broasted Chicken combo plate. We also had a fried calamari appetizer. Everything came out hot, the fried stuff was crispy and delicious with no "old oil" taste. The calamari was fresh tasting and tender. The calamari rings had been cut and the squid was breaded and fried so they looked like french fries instead of rings. The walleye was a generous portion (I didn't even have to scowl at my husband for wanting SEVERAL bites), it was hot, steamed and tender inside and the breading was light and crispy. The broasted chicken was all it should be. If you went there a few years ago please note it is now run by the daughter of the original owner. The quality of the food is MUCH BETTER than it has been in years. We were there under Covid 19 precautions. Masks required away from your table, and about half the tables available. Salt, pepper and condiments are on the table.
