The best place to eat in Zapata. Actually, the best anywhere ! Rolled into town Thursday night to bed down, came here to eat, had fish fillet, rice and steamed vegetables. Very good food, excellent service, and she was busy. Came in Friday morning for breakfast, once again, great food, excellent service. This is a gem of a place. You can’t beat it. I’m from Mathis and I sure wish we had a place like this up there. I like my job a lot when it involves coming to Zapata !
Whenever I am in Zapata, I eat at El Rincon. They have great food choices that are delicious & reasonably priced. Their service is beyond compare which alone makes it worthwhile to stop. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. Looking forward to returning again next week.
Yesterday, I was in Zapata for a quick work trip. I decided to get something to eat before heading out and stopped at El Rincon at the suggestion of a friend that lives in Zapata. The food and atmosphere were both great. I would strongly suggest this restaurant to everyone.
Came to Falcon Lake for some fishing but thought we'd try this place for dinner. Complimentary "Appetizer" soup was a nice touch and very good. The red salsa was also very tasty, especially on the El Rincon Special; which was what I had for dinner. Beef enchilada, beef taco and chicken fried steak covered with cheese along with rice and beans. Really great tasting food. Service was outstanding, our waiter probably refilled our tea/soda 5 times!

The food was so good. The piña colada was sweet and hit the spot on a hot day.
An amazing taste oasis. I'm from the east coast and felt right at home here. Great breakfast and lunch menus.
